Anderson's game has come a long way since I first saw her compete at a Prep Dig Showcase. She registered 373 kills last season for the Raiders. She has a nasty serve that resulted in 75 aces during her junior campaign. She recorded 25 kills and nine blocks at the varsity level last season for the Panthers. I watched game film of her game from summer league action. She has a fluid swing and can elevate. I was most impressed with her blocking skills. She has solid timing at the net and a big reach to disrupt attackers. Derby lost a solid senior class to graduation, so Dieguez should be leaned on more heavily this fall. However. Goessel has a young Bluebird athlete to watch closely the next couple of years. Duerksen had a solid freshman season for the Bluebirds. She finished with freshman season stat line that included 219 kills, 376 digs, and 82 aces. She is a young talent I wish would reach out as I have not been able to locate a HUDL account or an X account of hers. The incoming Derby Freshman is a sparkplug on the court. I saw her play club ball back in December. Her "Showtime" squad plays under the [program_tooltip program_id='430193' first='Kansas' last='Networks Volleyball Club'] umbrella. She showed up and showed out in that early club season match. Unfortunatley that was the only match I saw that squad play last season.
