<p>Unofficially, five athletes recorded at least 300 kills during their freshman seasons.</p>

<p>Here is a look at those five athletes, each will be looking to increase their kill and win totals during their sophomore campaigns.</p>

<p>Miller unofficially led all freshman attackers last season with 452 kills in 102 sets played. I watched her this summer at a club practice. She is dialed in and ready to get the prep season rolling. The Royal Valley prospect is ranked No. 4 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028.</p>

<p>Schmidtlein is a talented multi-sport prospect. She recently announced on social media that she has received an offer to play basketball at Murray State. She finished her freshman season with 440 kills in 99 sets. She is ranked No. 1 overall by Prep Dig Kansas.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='831854' first='Emily' last='Criqui']</strong>, 5'9”, OH, Marais Des Cygnes Valley, '28</p>

<p>Criqui is ranked No. 77 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028. She recorded 358 kills in 85 sets played for the Trojans. She will be out to prove that her freshman season was no fluke and that she deserves attention from college coaches.</p>

<p>Eudora's Miller recorded 345 kills in her freshman campaign. She is ranked No. 14 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She is a six-rotation athlete for the Cardinals, who also collected 259 digs last fall.</p>

<p>Maka registered 305 kills for the Roadrunners as a freshman. She is ranked No. 3 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028. I saw her play this summer at Washburn's MOKAN tournament and was impressed with her composure and athleticism.</p>
