These five players, with impressive power, precision, and poise beyond their years, proved they're ready to compete at a high level—and gave coaches and scouts plenty to talk about. Here's a look at the five freshmen attackers who made the biggest impact over the course of the two-hour showcase.

If there was one player who stood out to me the most over the entire showcase, it was Martin. She was hands down the young lady that I would want to coach and/or play with, as well as the one who my fellow scouts and I couldn't stop watching and talking about. Quinn is a lefty attacker who can swing from either side of the court and has a complete toolbox of shots. She doesn't make many errors and knows where to put the ball in order to score in a variety of situations. Martin is a jumper and plays much taller than her height - she is clearly not intimidated by anyone on the other side of the net, and I love that about her! She worked hard all showcase and never stopped, even when her bib number was falling off and flying in her face, this girl kept on going. Well done Quinn - we will certainly be watching you this high school and club season!

Oliva is a long and lean pin hitter who plays with a ton of confidence and power. I was able to see her hit from both pins, and she was effective wherever she was, including in the middle, where she stepped in to play (and dominate) whenever it was needed. On the right side she has a nasty cross court shot that was rarely defended by the opposing squad, and on the left side she basically scored at will, challenging the block (and winning) on multiple occasions. For someone her age I was really impressed with her ability and intention to get her feet to the ball on every swing - a skill most players this age have not mastered yet. This allowed her to get on top of the ball and score from anywhere on the court, whether it was an in system or out of system play. Olivia is the first of THREE players on this list from Munciana 15 Blue, and I look for her to be a huge part of their success next club season.

Kendall is the second of three OHs who made this list from Munciana 15 Blue and she brings her own unique skills to this impressive trio of young pin hitters. First off, Rowray can get UP! Seriously, this girl has some hops and knows how to use them to her advantage when she takes a big approach and simply crushes the ball. As just a freshman she can already hit cross and line consistently, but what sets her apart is her ability to disguise where she is hitting by swinging away from where her body is facing. Kendall is just as confident and terminal in the back row where she swings with aggressiveness and heat, knowing how to paint the deep corners with her attacks. Lastly, she was a great, positive teammate during the entire showcase, making Rowray one of my favorite players of the day.

Out of all the OHs I saw in this freshman class, Far was one of the better passers and defenders on the day. She definitely has the ability to be a great 6 rotation OH who can do all the skills well. What really set her apart for me was her off-blocker defense; Caroline was ALWAYS ready to pick up off-speed shots and touches off the block when she wasn't blocking - a skill that most hitters at this age either don't know how to do well or they aren't willing to do it (because they just want to transition to hit). Lastly, Far knows how to score while making minimal errors, allowing her to be very efficient. I look for this young lady to be an important part of her Circle City 15 Black squad this coming club season in all aspects of the game, including serve receive, attacking and defense.

Nola is the last of my picks for top attackers to come from Munciana 15 Blue, but she certainly is NOT the least. Baker had probably the fastest arm at the showcase and was really smart in how she used it. She could hit every area of the court with varying amounts of speed whether it be deep corners, a roll shot to the middle of the court or a hard driven ball down the line on the right side. Her range is fantastic for this age group! Pair that with a really great knowledge of the game (which she demonstrated during queen of the court where she scored at will), lots of confidence and constant talk, and you have an exceptional player in the making. I will definitely be watching Nola this season to see what she does at both Wapahani and Munciana because I have a good feeling it's going to be awesome.
