Nebraska’s 15U Standouts from Wave 4 of AAU Nationals

We've had plenty of time to review film and gather observations, giving us a better grasp of Nebraska's breakout performers and individual standouts.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wave 4 of AAU Nationals was packed with 15U teams from the Cornhusker State, and we got a great glimpse into the future with this wave's up-and-coming athletes. The Lincoln Northeast standout brings a ton of on-court energy and matches it with an explosive approach along the net. Chmelka exhibited her full range at AAU Nationals, which included some crafty tool shots and an indefensible crosscourt heater. That scouting opportunity has allowed Trusty to enter the spotlight as a multi-dimensional frontcourt attacker. The Beatrice native has an extensive background as a middle blocker but showcased her pin-hitting repertoire in Orlando. Timmerman was a valuable asset for Nebraksa Elite 15 Koa and provided an immediate spark as a DS in the middle-back area. We became acquainted with Timmerman's skills at last year's Prep Dig Freshman Showcase, and she was a high-impact freshman with Norfolk Catholic soon after. This versatile setter delivers consistent locations to her frontcourt hitters and gets her feet to the ball when tracking down errant passes. Brodersen also plays stingy right-back defense to complement 15 Navy's formidable floor defense. This instinctive defender also sets the tone for 15 Red's defense and has excelled as a secondary setter, too. Several marathon rallies and long, grueling matches punctuated 15 Red's 8-3 record in Orlando. Osborne has earned praise for her persistent command of the 15 Bravo offense throughout the 2025 campaign. She can play around the dial at the setter spot, allowing the team to lean on Osborne's stabilizing presence in the frontcourt.
