Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
We recently published a feature on “new faces in new places” at the Premier Nebraska MLK Invite, and we could have included Timmerman in that conversation. The Norfolk Catholic standout is a new addition to the Premier Nebraska gym and will patrol the end line for 16 Red this year. She compiled an impressive highlight tape during last year’s club campaign, including a fruitful visit to AAU Nationals. Timmerman continued her rise with Norfolk Catholic, amassing nearly 400 digs en route to the team’s state tournament appearance. That high-level experience will pay dividends as Timmerman adapts to new teammates and a new venue.

Nebraska Elite gets another one. This year’s Nebraska Elite 15 Koa roster was stacked with defensive talent, and Timmerman proved she can shoulder any responsibility while facing Open competition. Regardless of whether she was a DS substitute or wearing the contrasting jersey, Timmerman brought the intensity and precision needed to upgrade 15 Koa’s back row. Her exceptional club campaign wasn’t a surprise, as Timmerman put up a massive 500-dig total for Norfolk Catholic as a freshman. Expect a similar output as the Knights chase another tournament berth this year.

Nebraska Elite loomed large in multiple waves of AAU Nationals. Timmerman was a valuable asset for Nebraksa Elite 15 Koa and provided an immediate spark as a DS in the middle-back area. We became acquainted with Timmerman’s skills at last year’s Prep Dig Freshman Showcase, and she was a high-impact freshman with Norfolk Catholic soon after. This small-town star has made a big impression at almost any venue.

Norfolk Catholic has always been a juggernaut on the prep stage, so productive freshmen at this program are always notable. Timmerman immediately seized the Knights’ libero jersey and put up a colossal five digs per set in her 2024 debut. Her defensive instincts and sprawling saves lifted Norfolk Catholic back to the Class C2 tournament, and this surely won’t be Timmerman’s last postseason appearance. More quality reps with Nebraska Elite have put this stout libero on an upward trajectory heading into the summer.

Timmerman was briefly mentioned in our introductory feature for the 2028 watch list. This is our chance to expand further on one of Nebraska’s most productive freshman liberos from last year’s fall season. Timmerman produced an incredible five digs per set in her freshman campaign as she helped Norfolk Catholic return to the state championship. Her enormous defensive value was only part of the story, as Timmerman was also a lockdown passer who helped the Knights’ offense flourish. Similar contributions can be expected at Nebraska Elite.

Here’s one for the freshmen. We didn’t see many Class of 2028 athletes locking down the end line during tournament play, but Timmerman was eager to be the exception. She seized Norfolk Catholic’s libero role in Year 1 and amassed nearly 500 digs for the Class C2 semifinalist. Timmerman’s poise in the passing formation offered an extra edge in the Knights’ five-set win over Yutan, and this underclassman is just getting started.
