Five Newcomers To The Class Of 2028

All of the names listed below are new to our rankings for various reasons. The good news is that they've caught our scouting eyes enough to make a difference, and possibly make a difference for their collegiate paths. First off, you can't teach 6'2”. Second, she dominated at Empowered enough to transfer her talents to Pineapple High Performance, giving that roster an instant boost in skill, size and power. Able to defend from pin to pin with ease, Miss Miller can sometimes “hang” in midair when a set isn't perfect, which is a heck of a way to defy gravity. Quick and agile, Ava is often found chasing down balls that a lot of other setters can't because of that impressive foot speed. I'd like to see a bit more setting variety from Ava in club, as her reps were limited to not-so-solid passers at our showcase a few weeks ago. Taller and smoother, Miss Zapp travels over two hours one-way to club practice, finding training in the Fort Wayne area. Long strides to the ball solidify Emilie's base when setting, and her hands are soft and accurate. Every swing, every transition attempt and every point is 100% full go with no quit in sight. Because of her size, she might be relegated to only the left side at the next level, but her ability to terminate at will from both pins with her whip of an arm will carry her far in her recruiting journey. I'd like to see how she does in six-rotation play this fall in the toughest volleyball conference and sectional in the state, so here's to hoping her development continues at Westfield.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
