Our fall ‘25 season is well under way, and we're just now seeing the dust settle around Indiana in the volleyball world. As we continue with our lists of five, today's list begins the positional breakdown portion of the week. Here are five pin attackers from five different clubs that are “ready for their closeup” in the class of 2028.

Easily one of the heaviest hitters in this class, Audrey is the third of three sisters aiming for D1 status (the first two are at UC Davis and Louisville, respectively). After a bronze-winning 15 Open run in Dallas, Audrey's all-tournament honors capped what was a coming-out party for the young sophomore. She can hit any angle in any situation, passes at an above-average level, and can rise to the occasion when prompted. She'll be a four-year starter for the Quakers once her career is over, and I would not be surprised if she set new records in attacking during her time.

Coming a long way to play high level volleyball, Elle is a big and physical attacker that can play any of the front row positions. Size alone doesn't tell the story; her length on the block is unmatched on this list, and she's definitely a problem for opposing attackers when they try to test her. Her demeanor is also one of quiet confidence. It's one thing to be 6'2”, but it's completely another to look agile and smooth while being this big and athletic.

A strong lefty from New Pal, Elena has really grown into her own type of player for the Red Dragons. Just over a year ago, she was still trying to figure this game out. Now, she's a complete player on the right pin, with the ability to give fits to opposing defenses and offenses equally. I've said it before as well—-it's one thing to be 6'2”, but it's completely another to play within yourself and make it look good in the process.

On the contrary, it's also nice to see a typical six-rotation outside from Indiana play. Jada, from a family of volleyballers, is a spitfire of a primary-passing outside, who has energy for days and a nonstop motor regardless of the score. From small South Newton, Jada is tucked away neatly so much so that not a lot of folks “in the know” know about her talents. She's the whole package, and will make someone feel like they've stolen a recruit when they commit to her skill set.

With 14 kills in Floyd Central's season-opening sweep of Bloomington North, Macy is a full-time outside hitter for the Highlanders that gets her open-level training across the Ohio River in Kentucky. Balanced, strong and tough, Macy's ability to change the game single-handedly has not gone unnoticed. I like her relentless effort and attitude—-too many outsides in this class just work on their attacking instead of honing the entire recruitment package. Macy ignores that trope—-she is more than capable of playing at multiple positions at the next level, and it's only a matter of time before colleges figure it out.
