G's Best Right Side Hitters at Houston Stock Up Showcase

Last Sunday was a very fun one as Prep Dig had its Stock Up Showcase come to Houston, providing prospects from the area and beyond an additional opportunity to showcase their skills and raise their profiles ahead of the start of the high school season in Texas.   With prospects from the classes of 2026, 2027 and 2028 taking part in the event held at the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] facility, it was also an opportunity for us, scouts, to get familiar with new faces while tracking the progress of the ones we already knew.   With the event completed, I've been sharing the names of the players who had the most impressive performances in each position. Today, we get to the last position and feature the right side hitters:    Standing at 6'2", Muckelroy knows how to use her length to make an impact at the net, and that made of her one of the best players in the position. A lefty, she has a very high contact point and can hit the ball with tremendous power when in system. Muckelroy also makes her presence felt defensively, putting up a big, well-structured block that challenges opposing hitters at the pin. She also made the most of her size when serving, hitting the ball very high to fire some tricky floaters across the net.     Galloway made a strong impression with her ability to play all three positions at the net at a high level. Her game is very steady and reliable as she's able to play different roles while making very few errors. Offensively, Galloway benefits from her ability to get off the floor and her excellent vision to put the ball down with intelligent shots using her skilled left hand. She also did well with her blocking, moving well at the net and displaying great technique to press opponents.     Jones' athleticism was second-to-none and pushed her to stand out on the right side of the net. Her ability to get off the floor was extremely impactful in her performance as it not only allowed her to make contact with the ball at a very high point, but also to adjust to whatever set came her way, which is quite helpful in a showcase setting, where players change all the time. Jones displayed great offensive versatility on the right, hitting quicker and higher sets very efficiently, and used her high contact point to tool blockers when she needed, always fully stretching her arm before swinging. She also did well with her blocking and performed at a high level in the middle when she played there.     I had already watched Martin in action with both her club and high school teams, but seeing her perform in a showcase setting allowed me to notice some other strengths in her game. She was excellent offensively, getting off the floor very well and displaying an impressive variation with her swings. A lefty, Martin has tremendous firepower, but is also great at hitting difficult angles and finding gaps in the block. She also does well with her blocking, reading opponents efficiently and using her vertical and her length to get in their way.
