That work has made her a more dynamic option in the middle, where her presence disrupts opposing offenses. She embraces the role of underdog, reflecting the depth and determination of Palos Verdes. <em>“One part I have worked heavily on is my connection with my setters on combination plays and different sets,”</em> she explained. Her growth reflects Edison's larger identity this season, a group that has been locked in at practice, overcoming obstacles together and proving the program's readiness to compete at a higher level. Already tested against top competition, Lagarde has embraced the challenge of league rivals like Huntington Beach, where she helped Edison claim a statement win. That growth has given her the ability to guide her team through tough stretches and keep momentum alive. What makes Temecula Valley special is the bond that extends beyond the gym, with teammates and coaches creating an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Yulfo's athletic background in softball sparked her introduction to volleyball, and she continues to carry that competitiveness into her game.
