Texas High School Report – Dig This Vol 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school season is underway all across the state of Texas and there have been some great individual performances so far.  This article series will highlight those special players who are leading their respective teams in certain statistical categories.  Let's check out some awesome defenders who are commanding the court and not letting anything hit the floor in --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Miss Etter has quietly tied for the second most digs in the entire state regardless of grad class.  She currently sits at 632 total digs and is averaging 6.4 digs per set.  Continuing her role into her senior season, she has shown some great consistency with her platform.  For three years, she has helped her team stay relevant in their district.  Great ball control experts rarely get many accolades but are very important to a team's overall success.  The senior is also great at serve receive as she has tallied 335 service receptions on the year.  Since her sophomore season, she has been a staple of this team's ball control.  We are big on consistency and wanted to --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">The talented sophomore is on pace to shatter her stats from her freshman season.  She already has 510 total digs on the year and is averaging a solid 6.5 digs per set.  Digging is not her only strong suit as she has 517 service receptions also.  The five foot six ball control expert has helped her varsity team to a solid 24-7 overall record so far and they are not done yet.  She is also deadly from the service line as she can be pinpoint accurate with her serving location.  The strong jump serve has a great drop on it that falls just in front of opposing passers.  We think she has a high ceiling to keep improving and we think she deserves to be on some radars --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">In her third year on varsity, she really has stepped up into a huge role this year and done extremely well when her number got called.  She has tallied 516 total digs and averaged 5.7 digs per set.  The talented junior also has amassed 539 receptions to help her squad's offense stay in system.  A lot of players freeze up when it is their turn to step up on the big stage, but Miss Riles has shown that all she needed was a chance to shine.  It really says a lot about a player when they are asked to switch to a different position for what the team needs and then shows that they will work hard to improve in another position.  This is exactly what Miss Riles has done and we
