Bird pounds balls to different parts of the court. Bird hits balls so hard, they sometimes carom far out of bounds off opposing defensive specialist arms. Bird can hit balls off blockers and out of bounds and send quick shoves to the near corner. Bird puts overpassed balls down away from opponents. Bird is also a fundamentally sound passer and has a hard line drive serve. Mason is not afraid to send balls to far corners for big points.
