[player_tooltip player_id='752867' first='Layla' last='Marquez'] plays with the kind of purpose that's hard to teach. She wants to be the best all-around version of herself, and she shows that drive every time she steps on the court. At the showcase, she didn't just perform...she led. Her consistency, grit, and competitive edge made her an easy choice for a MVP of the event.

“I just want them to remember my grit,” she said, and she made sure that's exactly what happened. Layla competes with heart, lifts those around her, and plays for something bigger than herself.

Eva is expanding her toolbox so middle back isn't her only answer on offense. At the showcase, she looked for edges, off-speed shots, and smarter angles to beat hands. “One part of my game that I've been focusing on is my hitting range,” she said. “When I'm going against another opponent, I want to know where to hit other than middle back. I hope to show it on the court by being more creative when I'm hitting rather than just hitting the ball to hit it.”

Breanna is training to be an all-around option, the player who can plug gaps and keep the offense in rhythm. At the showcase she leaned into flexibility, filling needs and competing with confidence against a crowded field. “I have a goal to play on a high level team,” she said, and she is using communication and effort to separate herself in big tryout environments. She wants coaches to remember her drive to improve and how she treats being a great teammate like a skill.
Gia is building a stronger, faster, and more accurate swing, timing her jumps to catch sets just in front of the block. She said. “It's a great opportunity to challenge myself and see how I stack up.”

A personal goal for Gia this season is to increase her vertical and use that explosiveness to elevate her offense. She wants coaches to remember her as a player who's “really coachable,” who gives her best effort in every drill, and who brings energy and focus to every rep.

Havanah is focused on consistent first contact and a steady approach that holds the block, then she balances it with a mindset that treats mistakes like data. “Lately, I've been focused on improving my consistency in both hitting and passing,” she said. “I've learned to view errors as opportunities to grow rather than setbacks.” That self-awareness shows through her reliable play and positive presence, especially when the point turns tough.
