She earned third-team all-state honors in Iowa's largest classification. I scouted her last year and again during the club campaign. My first in-person viewing of the 2025 season happened when Cedar Falls traveled to City High in late September. Krecklow reaffirmed her position as one of the state's top all-around performers. She can put the ball down from either pin with authority. Her defense at the net and in the back row also stands out. Krecklow's biggest improvements have come in the way of consistency and reading opponents. She makes very few mistakes.

Bakula has been a fixture in the Cedar Falls lineup for what feels like a decade. She's enjoyed an incredible career and has helped the Tigers to a whole lot of victories. Bakula was rock solid again when I scouted her at Iowa City High on Sept. 30, 2025. Her sets were precise as she ran the operation smoothly and on time. Bakula is a combination of sharp skills, a high volleyball IQ and excellent leadership qualities. She's always talking on the floor, helping teammates and finding ways to top the opponent. If Bakula wanted to play the sport in college, plenty of programs would have her, and they'd be better for it.

A Northwestern College commitment, Wedgbury is as steady as they come among back-row performers in Iowa. She's proven that time and time again when watching her on the club and prep courts. Wedgbury plays with intensity and battles for every point. A leader as a defensive specialist, she communicates well with teammates before, during and after points. It's an on-going process of gaining an edge against the opposition. Wedgbury has improved her consistency through the years as a result of hard work and studying the game. She's poised for a productive career on the next level after leaving a positive mark on school ball in the state.

Smith's growth as a volleyball player during the last few seasons has impressed. Watching her develop through club ball gave me confidence she would impact the school-ball scene as a freshman this fall. It's been a seamless transition as evidenced by her leading her team in blocks and ranking second in kills with the 2025 regular season winding down. I caught her for the first time in person when Cedar Falls played at City High on Sept. 30. Matching up with one of Iowa's top middle hitters. Smith proved she belonged and helped the Tigers to victory. She's a athletic, two-way middle with a ceiling as high as anybody in Iowa's 2029 class.

McNally was a key role player on last year's state tournament team for Cedar Falls. She's taken on more responsibility in 2025 following graduation losses, and the senior has thrived. McNally was tied for the Tiger lead in blocks and ranked third in kills when the calendar flipped to October. I scouted her during a Sept. 30 match against Iowa City High. She showed marked improvement from a year ago. McNally is an good athlete with an impressive vertical leap, hang time and a powerful swing. She sees the court clearly, finding holes in the defense and handling the block well. McNally also shows an aptitude for putting up the block.

Smith got her feet wet in a few matches with the Cedar Falls varsity as a sophomore last season. With graduation losses leading to more opportunity in 2025, she's stepped in with production to help keep the Tiger train running. Smith ranked fourth on the team in kills as the campaign reached its final weeks. I watched how she was getting it done when Cedar Falls played at Iowa City High on Sept. 30. Smith is a powerful pin with explosion off of the court and intention in her swing. She does a nice job mixing up the attack and reading the block. Smith shows potential in putting up the block with the leaping ability and long arms to develop that part of her game. She's one to watch moving forward as a prospect on the rise.
