The sophomore outside hitter carried Fulshear to victory with an outstanding offensive performance. With her sister Madisen watching on the sidelines, Skinner was on fire at the net, getting set very frequently and converting her swings into points at a very high rate. Her leaping ability and heavy right arm helped, but it was Skinner's excellent vision and decision-making that made her impossible to stop at times. The outside hitter had a brief moment of difficulty with her passing in the first set that affected her side out, but she quickly shook it off and performed at a very high level in both areas until the end of the match. She also served very well and ended the match with an ace.

Playing opposite to Skinner on the other outside hitter spot, the senior also had a big offensive role for the Chargers. Voskuhl was the team's second-most-used attacking player and she was particularly important in out-of-system plays, using her height and power to overcome opposing blockers and defenders and put the ball down. Her offensive game also stood out for her excellent choices, which avoided unforced errors and allowed her to score with smart plays. Voskuhl also had an important defensive role for Fulshear, blocking on the right on some rotations and forcing Foster's high-scoring outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='804694' first='Emerson' last='Lechler'] into errors with her big presence.

The senior had an excellent performance in the middle and helped Fulshear dominate the net. Harris played an important role for the team with her strong blocking as she dominated Fulshear's middles and made their opponents much more predictable. She did a great job of reading plays at the net and quickly getting off the floor to get stops. Harris also contributed offensively, reaching a good rate for her swings.

With starter [player_tooltip player_id='534407' first='Reina' last='Jones'] sidelined, Aguilar split the setting duties with junior Peyton Need and did a great job running Fulshear's offense. She was very pragmatic with her distribution, prioritizing the team's outside hitters, who were both having great nights, but found the right opportunities to feed her middles and right side, avoiding overloading any of her hitters. Aguilar also did well when working with passes off the net, getting quickly to the ball and remaining accurate with her locations. The setter was very effective from the service line too, consistently creating problems for Foster with her floaters.

The sophomore right side was Foster's most consistent player in the match, producing at a good level and keeping her errors low. Barnes registered ten kills throughout the match and was set in key moments, responding well and finding good solutions to difficult plays. She displayed great vision with her shots, consistently picking the right options to beat the block. She also had seven digs and a block and was part of the team's serve-receive system, contributing with her solid passing. The right side hitter had a good serving run on set four that helped her team close the gap to Fulshear.

The senior outside hitter was somewhat inconsistent during the match, at times making uncharacteristic consecutive errors, but still produced at a high volume, and was pivotal in the team's first-set victory. Lechler had great moments offensively, in which she was truly unstoppable, swinging from either the pin or the middle back position. She also passed at a good level, had a team-high 18 digs, and registered a block and an ace.
