Guilherme Torres | Prep Dig Scout
Having Jones as one of their setters, HJV 17 Elite ranked seventh in the tournament with five wins and four losses. The left-handed playmaker played only three rotations, but still managed to make an impact and stand out for them. Jones kept HJV’s offense running in a smooth rhythm, using her middles when she could and remaining accurate with her sets to the pin. The setter did a good job of tracking passes off the net and getting to the ball early and was productive with her serving, too, pushing opponents and getting them out of system.

Jones emerged as an exciting class of 2027 prospect playing Sterling High School and AVA TX 15 Adidas. Ranked 13th among the setters in her age group and 62nd overall, she doubles up for AVA, taking up setting and hutting duties with them. Her all-around game is probably her main asset on the court as Jones is capable of getting the job done in several different areas of the game. She’s very reliable and clean as a setter, being able to keep the team in a good rhythm with her consistent play. Jones is on another level among the setters who turn into right side hitters at the net because of her skilled left arm and her length, which also makes of her a very good blocker.
