2027 Leaderboard: Northeast Kansas Kill Leaders

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After five straight reports on the senior class, it is time to move on to the Class of 2027.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The focus of this report will be members of the Class of 2027 who were among the leaders in kills last season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For this report, I selected athletes from Northeast Kansas Schools and those who had completed Prep Dig Profiles.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is not an all-inclusive list. The Rossville outside led the Bulldogs in kills with 596 kills over 104 sets played. I watched Burdiek play in September and was impressed with her smooth swing and court leadership. She also had 403 digs, 409 serve receptions, and 25 blocks on her junior stat line. Burdiek is already a member of the 1,000-Kill Club and is expected to reach 1,000 career digs next season. She recorded 503 kills for the Jaguars in 104 sets played. She has already reached the 1,000 career kill benchmark. Through three seasons, she has accumulated 1,232 total kills. As if she wasn't already super talented, she will be on a mission next year to help Mill Valley return to Class 6A state dominance. Mill Valley qualified for the Class 6A tournament, but fell short of winning its third straight title. She has reached the 1,000-career kill plateau. Through three prep seasons, she has tallied 1,309 kills. Kubik also registered three straight seasons with at least 200 digs. She has recorded back-to-back seasons with 300-plus kills. She will enter her senior season with 875 career kills and is gunning to reach 1,000. Cook had 81 blocks last season and should reach 200 blocks for her career next season. Holton had four athletes with 200-plus kills and qualified for the Class 3A State Tournament. Wilson racked up 385 kills in a career-high 114 sets played. She has a total of 1,086 kills heading into her senior season. I would not be surprised if she made a run at 1,500 career kills. Wilson recorded 420 digs and has 1,097 digs over three seasons. She recorded 376 kills in 95 sets played. That total represented the leading number of kills by a Cyclone this season. She finished her senior season among the state leaders in kills with 354 in 93 sets played. She also recorded 66 blocks for the Class 5A State Tournament Qualifying Thunder. She is ranked No. 14 overall, and in my opinion, is probably the strongest athlete in this class. Her junior stat line also included 443 serve receptions, 225 digs, 28 blocks, and 36 aces. She will be leaned on to help Eudora become one of the elite programs in Eastern Kansas. She impressed me early in the season and was named to my All-Deck 2027 team as a result.
