College-Bound Class 4A Talent From The Top 4 Finishers At State

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some great talent was on display from the final 4 teams and finishes at the Class 4A state games. Marist came out on top as your state champs, defeating Benet Academy in the championship game. Lockport and Fremd battled it out for 3rd place, with Lockport taking the 3rd place finish. On these 4 teams is a lot of college-committed talent and college-bound talent. In the championship game she was trying to keep her team in it, getting some nice kills. She has a great vertical and an explosive swing. She can give you all the hits, she's looking to detonate on you, but is smart as well. She can really swing and be on top of the block or hit a cut shot cross court. In the championship game against Benet she had a bunch of kills and a couple of nice blocks. She can kill you on the slide, crushing it on you, or hit it precisely down the line. She is agile and has good feet and gets to the ball quickly. Good size and a great touch with her sets. She can also put a nice swing on the ball. She does a great job in serving, too, able to hit zones and pick her spots to get the ace. She is a top-tier setter on her way to Northwestern, I believe. She had a ton of assists in the championship game against Benet and ran that offense really well. She has good size a really nice touch and feel at the setter position. She's athletic as well and has such great sense of where to go with the ball, where to be on the court. She fully extends and puts down kill after kill. She can hit it right on you or smartly hit cross court around the block. Seems to hit accurate shots and really swings hard. She can tool the block, hits high off of the hands or can reach back and kill it right over you. Game versus Fremd I saw her hit smart shot after smart shot. Cut shots around the 10 foot line where no one could get them, or smartly hitting the back left corner. She racked up a bunch of digs in her games downstate and is a hard nosed backrow player. She looks to always be in control even on the hard driven balls. She absorbs the hits and keeps plays alive. Has good size, really good hands to set and pass, can really hit the ball as well from anywhere on the court. That opposite side RS is where she really pounds that ball for kills. She has good size, great reach, left handed, blocks well too and can do everything on the court. These teams were filled with talent, and these were just some of the players who really left a mark this season. Again, there is a reason a lot of these players will be headed to college or will be someday!
