Smith has a high volleyball IQ and knows when to take a little off the swing to put a tip somewhere on the court. She is a consistent option for her setters.

Smith is a very smart setter with great connections to all of her hitters. Smith can find her attackers from anywhere on the court. Smith does very well at reversing the flow of the net. Smith also does well at pushing the set to the pins giving them the opportunity to swing line. Smith can also be seen swinging some. She is impressive at hitting through the block or tooling the block.
