When the gym heats up at a Prep Dig Exposure Tour event, it's almost always because the pin hitters are getting fired up. That was exactly the case on Saturday, where the juniors and seniors brought serious firepower and intelligence to the courts. From heavy swings to confident serve/receive, these upperclassmen outside hitters showed why they are among the more impactful athletes in the region.

The class of 2026 and 2027 attackers displayed a strong combination of experience, skill, and competitiveness. These were traits that allowed them to shine against top competition. Let's break down the standout performers and what makes each special.

[player_tooltip player_id='903431' first='Milyn' last='Morales']

Morales is a 5'10" outside hitter from River Islands High School, class of 2026. Morales brought herself to this event as a seasoned, fearless competitor. Along with her height advantage, she has the ideal blend of strength and agility, allowing her to hit sharp angles or elevate to go over the block. Her out-of-system attacking was one of her most impressive qualities. Morales stays aggressive even on imperfect balls, keeping defenders on their heels.

[player_tooltip player_id='838260' first='Emerson' last='Kjellesvig']

Kjellesvig is a 6' outside hitter from The King's Academy, class of 2027. Kjellesvig was one of the most physically commanding athletes on the court. Her high contact point and explosive approach gave her an advantage over even the tallest blockers, and her cross-court swing was nearly untouchable. She displayed a powerful first-step read on defense, allowing her to convert digs into instant scoring opportunities. What stood out most was her versatility. She passes in rhythm, swings with intention, and applies pressure when serving or playing defense. She looks like a true six-rotation outside hitter.

[player_tooltip player_id='729824' first='Reese' last='Haas']

[player_tooltip player_id='729824' first='Reese' last='Haas'], 2027.

Haas is a 5'9" outside hitter from West Valley High School, class of 2027. Haas showcased some of the cleanest ball control in the gym. Her platform is steady, efficient, and free of wasted movement. On offense, she attacks with a high volleyball IQ, mixing in tips, rolls, and fast snaps that make her incredibly difficult to defend. Her transition footwork is polished, allowing her to get into a consistent rhythm on every approach. What sets her apart is her reliability; when the team needs a side-out, Haas is the athlete who gets it done with skill and confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='887957' first='Ava' last='Van Peteghem']

Van Peteghem is a 5'11" outside hitter from Carondelet High School, class of 2027. Van Peteghem's tall frame and fluidity allowed her to dominate at multiple attack points. She elevates easily, keeps her elbow high, and contacts the ball cleanly, whether it's a perfect in-system set or a scramble play. Her blocking presence was equally impressive. She closes seams with discipline and reads setters well, making her a multi-dimensional threat. Her ceiling is unquestionably high, and her steady six-rotation contributions make her a top prospect at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='903436' first='Ada' last='Morales']

Morales is a 5'8" outside hitter from River Islands, class of 2027. Morales brought a fiery presence and fast-twitch athleticism. She plays with a spark that energizes her side of the court—chasing down out-of-system plays, laying out for digs, and attacking with a fast, whip-like arm swing. Despite being 5'8", she jumps extremely well and challenges blockers with her elevation and quick attack tempo. Morales' defensive hustle stood out throughout the event, and she consistently extended rallies with impressive one-arm pickups, diving saves, and could offensively tool off the block like a pro.

[player_tooltip player_id='905315' first='Q'Niyah' last='Reynolds']

Reynolds is a 5'5" outside hitter from Tracy High School, class of 2027. Reynolds was one of the most fearless attackers in the gym. She compensates for her shorter height on the court with her explosive athleticism and elite-level timing. Reynolds can tool the block with precision or elevate for a clean swing that catches defenders off guard. Defensively, she was outstandingly quick, instinctive, and vocal. She reads hitters early and transitions from defense to attack faster than most players on the floor. Her energy and competitiveness made her one of the event's must-watch athletes.

[player_tooltip player_id='730268' first='Siliana' last='Fa'ataualofa']

Fa'ataualofa is a 5'8" outside hitter from Lathrop High School, class of 2027. Fa'ataualofa is a powerful outside who swings with purpose every time she touches the ball. Her arm speed is a major weapon, and she uses it to hammer line, work sharp cross shots, or go into the deep corners effortlessly. She is an awesome player both defensively and offensively, and would be amazing as a 6-rotation outside hitter. Beyond her offense, she proved to be a steady passer and communicator who facilitates smooth rotations. Her perfect block timing and ability to help close seams are signs that she is an elite athlete on any court.

[player_tooltip player_id='910513' first='Erin' last='Chunn']

Chunn is a 5'7" outside hitter from Lathrop High School, class of 2027. Chunn has soft hands, smooth footwork in serve/receive, and a consistent ability to deliver hittable balls when called upon to set. Her attack game centers on smart shot selection because she reads the defense, applies pressure with placement, and rarely forces plays. She is a highly effective hitter and a player with a high volleyball IQ. Chunn's steady, composed presence made her an invaluable piece of every lineup she touched during the event.
