The second-year LOVB club team finished third in the event behind 15/16U division champion CIA 16 Black and United 15-1 Elite. It was a solid start for a team experiencing turnover from the program's 15-1 roster.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>United welcomes back a trio of impactful pins. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='516002' first='Julia' last='Schlarbaum'] played a leading role in helping Clear Creek Amana compile a 42-4 record in returning to the Class 4A state tournament in the fall. She ranked third among Clippers with 264 kills (.288) and 282 digs. She added 26.0 blocks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='610472' first='Josie' last='Austen'] started on the right side for an Iowa City West team that made it back to the Class 5A state tournament for the first time since 2016. The freshman recorded 104 kills, 176 digs and 26.0 blocks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prairie received premium production from [player_tooltip player_id='846069' first='Olivia' last='Marais'] throughout the 2025 campaign. The junior paced the Prairie Hawks with 208 kills, adding 110 digs and 43.0 blocks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mid-Prairie got back to the 3A state tournament with [player_tooltip player_id='808755' first='Jeorgia' last='Evans'] delivering major contributions all around the court. The sophomore piled up a Golden Hawk-best 579 digs, adding 213 kills (.295) and 25.0 blocks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Center Point-Urbana supplies a pair of important performers for United 16-1 Elite. Back from the 15-1 Elite are setter [player_tooltip player_id='701976' first='Adelyn' last='Stien'] and [player_tooltip player_id='555730' first='Taylor' last='Hoskins'], a libero/defensive specialist.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stein stuffed the stat sheet with a Stormin' Pointer-high 410 assists and 220 kills, which ranked third. She added 247 digs and 29.0 blocks. Hoskins came up with a team-best 473 digs to go with 91 assists, illustrating her production off of the two ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='771601' first='Kaitlyn' last='Amman'] has put together an impressive performance during her first two high school seasons at Morningstar Academy in Bettendorf. As a sophomore this fall, she averaged 4.8 kills and 1.7 digs per set. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Clear Creek Amana provides another key player for 16-1 Elite in middle hitter [player_tooltip player_id='571219' first='Haydin' last='Wauters']. The sophomore chipped in 44 kills (.345) and 25.0 blocks for a varsity that reached the 4A state semifinals. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='851203' first='Norah' last='Willey'] contributed to the rotation of an Iowa City Liberty outfit that advanced to the 5A regional finals in 2025.
