Amman has gotten her junior season off to a fast start. You could see the breakout coming when watching her compete with Bettendorf at the Prep Dig Sizzle in early August. She confirmed it was happening when scouting her again at the Iowa City High tournament early in the 2026 season. Amman was hitting efficiently in the event that saw the Bulldogs grab second place with wins against the host, Burlington, Lewis Central and Regina. She stood out for her explosion off of the court, lift on the jump and power generated in a heavy swing. Amman does well reading the block and finding the best ways to attack it. She can push through it, execute hits around it and knock the ball off of it. Amman is one of the top rising prospects in Iowa’s 2028 Class.

Kaitlyn is truly a defender’s worst nightmare when she swings. Not only does she rip with no remorse, but she is an insanely tough hitter to read. One second you think she’s going cross, then the next she’s pulling out an insane crossbody line shot. She also does an amazing job finding the court by reading her defenders early on. She knows when and where to put the ball away, or when to simply tip right over the block. I think Amman is one of the weapons that Bettendorf needed to get on that postseason run.

Amman is already emerging as a household name on the Iowa prep scene. She had an extraordinary debut season with Morning Star Academy, racking up over 250 kills and hitting near a 0.300 clip. Her explosive approach and unmatched power stood out at the Midwest Live Showcase, adding to Amman’s expansive highlight tape from the 2025 campaign. Her AAU championship pursuit with Iowa Select will add to that film.

Iowa Select joins the feature as we continue our run of pin hitters. Amman joined us from the Quad Cities area and was willing to play on either pin during scrimmage action. This reflects her dynamic prep journey, as Amman has been a multi-dimensional outside attacker around the club circuit. Like many of the athletes on this list, Amman has grown accustomed to playing against the nation’s best and has improved throughout the 2025 campaign.
