Setters are often judged by how they respond when the pressure is at it's highest. When systems break down and all chaos breaks out, the best setters rise in these moments by tracking down balls, making fearless decisions, and delivering hittable balls when it matters the most. Below are a few of the setters that thrived under pressure, embraced the hardest moments of the tournament, and turned many moments into opportunities of success for their team at the Big City Luau. She has great hands and sets with ease and fluidity, showing a high volleyball IQ and an elevated understanding of the game. She consistently reads the opposing side of the court well, allowing her to make smart decisions on who to set and when, and put her hitters in the best position to be successful. Being a setter also comes in handy when in the front row playing middle as she can easily step in and "set" ill placed passes with ease to her pins, keeping her team in rhythm. No matter where Barnett is at on the court, she is going to highly impactful.     I like watching Giefer play. She is a fearless setter who consistently makes the tough play, whether it's executing a quick reversal or delivering an out of system set halfway across the floor to keep the offense moving. She is comfortable taking risks when the situation demands it and has the strength and finesse to put the ball in hittable locations under pressure. In addition, she does an excellent job distributing the ball and keeping all hitters involved, which prevents defenses from locking in on one attacker and forces them to be mindful of every attacker on the court.     Over the past year of watching her compete, Lee has shown steady and impressive development as a setter. She is technically sound and has continued to fine tune her mechanics, while also growing as a leader on the court. She executes impressive reversals and does a solid job keeping all attackers involved, making it difficult for defenses to key in on any one hitter. In addition, she is a strong offensive threat herself, displaying a variety of well timed dumps, tips, and pushes that consistently catch opponents off guard and leave them scrambling.     Rhead is a new setter to jump on my radar. She is a smart and composed setter who does an excellent job feeding the hot hand while continually reading and reacting to the defense. She delivers clean, consistent balls to her attackers, allowing them to stay aggressive throughout the match. Her decision-making and awareness are instrumental to her team as she consistently puts her hitters in positions to be successful by making the right set at the right time.     Roberts is a high energy setter who does an excellent job tracking down balls all over the court and turning difficult plays into scoring opportunities. Even in transition, she can find her middles and keeps them involved in the offense, which puts pressure on the opposing team's blockers. Roberts also does a great job pushing the ball out to the pin, delivering hittable sets that allow her attackers to stay aggressive and keep the offense flowing.
