Consider this our first foray into the new 15s season.

Our coverage of the 15U club circuit always starts with mysteries and unknowns. We don't typically see a lot of 14U action during any given season, so we're introduced to many different rosters and lineups every January. Some athletes may have landed on our radar through the fall high school season, but getting on-court varsity as a freshman is a rare feat.

Still, we're building a preliminary database of club combos to watch once our flurry of in-season coverage begins. As we continue perusing the new Nebraska Class of 2029 watch list, let's give you a peek at which duos we're eyeing at the start of this new year.

[player_tooltip player_id='847923' first='Andie' last='Blomenkamp'] and [player_tooltip player_id='850372' first='Marianna' last='Zephier-Murphy'] - Premier Nebraska 15 Gold

Cohesion and connection should be huge strengths for this setter-hitter combo.

We've already seen a lot from Blomenkamp and Zephier-Murphy, and they've been together every step of the way. The journey started at last summer's Nebraska Freshman Showcase, where this pair emerged as top performers at their respective positions. Then, they joined forces at Millard North and immediately cracked the starting lineup for this Class A competitor. Blomenkamp led the Mustangs in aces and assists, while Zephier-Murphy placed second on the team's ledger with a 0.278 hitting percentage.

That's quite an early impression, and they're joining forces yet again. Premier Nebraska 15 Gold will leverage this duo's experience and physicality to form a game-changing setter-middle battery. We can't wait to see it in another venue.

[player_tooltip player_id='912025' first='Aureylia' last='Ahlmann'] and [player_tooltip player_id='903351' first='Madison' last='Collingsworth'] - Nebraska Elite 15-1

Collingsworth

Let's keep locking down the net.

We had plenty of good choices for Nebraska Elite 15-1's stacked lineup. Several of this team's players have already entered our coverage spotlight, either through past showcases or the highest levels of the fall circuit.

Collingsworth's rise started at our Nebraska Exposure Tour, where her exceptional length ran the show at the opposite position. The Elkhorn freshman can also anchor the middle blocker spot if needed.

Positional versatility also applies to Ahlmann, who has vast experience as a middle blocker and a pin hitter. She immediately became a high-volume terminator for Norfolk High School, racking up over three kills per set on an incredible 0.326 clip. Her go-to status will not waver in the Nebraska Elite gym.

[player_tooltip player_id='932964' first='Brooke' last='Bosshamer'] and [player_tooltip player_id='933035' first='Adalynn' last='Fullerton'] - [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 15 Elite

VCNebraska 15 Elite has a fascinating medley of rural gems and Star City athletes, as demonstrated by our chosen pair.

You couldn't envision a better start to Bosshamer's prep career. This imposing middle blocker averaged nearly two kills per set during Amherst's climb to the Class D1 title. This historic achievement gave us an up-close look at Bosshamer's ability to maintain that momentum on the club side.

Fullerton plays her prep ball for Lincoln East and has already experienced the Class A varsity gauntlet. She will likely play across the dial from Bosshamer in the middle, giving VCNebraska 15 Elite an unstoppable frontcourt middle in all six rotations. That should make a big difference against national powerhouses.

[player_tooltip player_id='933050' first='Alivia' last='Lind'] and [player_tooltip player_id='933022' first='Atlie' last='Wiedel'] - South Central NE 15 Black

Bring on the next wave of small-town stars.

Last year's South Central NE 15 Black group set a high bar, but 2026's iteration has the talent to meet those expectations. Lind put up nearly 100 kills in her debut season with Hastings and exhibited her ability to tee off in any gap. We'll see which spot takes precedence this spring.

Wiedel brings the kind of all-around influence we'd expect from a Thayer Central starter. She had opportunities to terminate in the front row, but her biggest impact came in the back row. Wiedel compiled nearly 400 total digs and was an essential piece of the Titans' exceptional passing lineup.

Lind and Wiedel will work hand-in-hand to help each other thrive.

[player_tooltip player_id='847520' first='Brynn' last='Recker'] and [player_tooltip player_id='847021' first='Tinley' last='Olson'] - Nebraska Juniors 15 Black

It's about time we checked in on the Nebraska Juniors camp.

Nebraska Juniors 15 Black will place several new players on our next 2029 watch list, but we already have a few good ones to chat about. Recker is a fresh face in the Nebraska Juniors gym and has made her mark as a dynamic, explosive left-side hitter. She has a fluid approach that will make her a popular setting target for her group of unfamiliar teammates.

Meanwhile. Olson provides some vital continuity after competing with Nebraska Juniors 14 Black last year. She primarily patrols the right-side hitter spot, but she wields a unique one-foot takeoff that makes her a strong asset in the middle. Either way, this southpaw attacker should provide the perfect pin-to-pin complement to Recker's all-around game.

Consider this our first foray into the new 15s season.
