This year's juniors are looking hard for their next commitment. A lot of the juniors I talk about are regulars among the articles written here. Today's article will touch a bit more on the under-the-radar kids that don't self-promote, don't bring attention to themselves, and might be tucked away in parts of the state that don't carry a lot of “volleyball weight”. Here they are, in no particular order, with plenty to offer the next level.

With injuries mounting on her club team at Circle, Jenna's been asked to give more than her fair share of effort in order to earn that bid to GJNC's in June. Realistically, Miss Dittmer is in an unassuming, six-rotation outside that has athleticism and volleyball smarts for days. She's not the ‘rah rah' kid—-she's quiet, and does her job well. Specifically, she'll fit onto a roster that's more experienced and that will allow her to grow and mature into the player she's capable of being.

When you say Munciana, you say passing. Munciana trains high-end passers regularly, and many have gone on to be high-end liberi in Power 4 schools around the country. Lyndsey is no exception, and she will NEVER blow her own horn when playing. Steady as she goes, Miss Robinson can receive serve and anticipates attacks well for her size, age and position. The volleyball IQ is through the roof, and is more than comfortable playing in a high-stakes atmosphere—-much like the expectations required of her at Yorktown and Munciana.

A gentle giant if there ever was one, Avery can play multiple positions because of that size. I like her more on the right side for her strong blocking technique and her ability to hit any angle high and hard. Already more than capable of holding her own because of the training she's received, she's getting stronger overall, making her a tough kid to defend on the club circuit. I like her relentless positivity and constant push for betterment. Those a qualities that take time to develop, and Avery's got them in bunches.

Probably the most athletic kid in this article today, Brooklyn is a springy and strong M2 that looks taller than she is because of her uber-long arms. Blocking isn't an issue for her—-that strong upper body, along with her jumping ability and read-and-react tendencies, make her an above-average blocker in this class. On the attack, she jumps high enough to pick and choose the angle she wants to attack, and attacks it HARD. Transition quickness might get her in the long run, but most of the time she's available to attack on every in-system ball.

A libero from a school and club not normally known for size or popularity, Maysa is a diamond-in-the-rough passer that has a relentless work ethic and will crash through walls to get the job done. She's also improved her read-and-react footwork on defense, and anticipates better than most in this class on defense. In serve receive, her feet are constantly active, with a quiet platform that drives the ball to target. I don't normally talk about defenders all that much, but when I do, they've earned the right to be watched more. Maysa is one of those kids that should have received a commitment by now, and probably would have if she lived closer to Indianapolis. I look forward to the remainder of her career and see where she lands in the fall of ‘27.
