What New Names Are On The Radar From Resolution 16 Club?

Always exciting seeing new athletes step up for their team. The Prep Dig Resolution is a great time for athletes to make a statement with their game, paving the way to what will hope to be a successful 2026 club season.  Here are some 16s that were new to me that I'll be looking forward to seeing play for this season!     What an athlete. I was able to see Faith Romanesko blast away from both pins for her [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 16 Black squad. There is something electric about her where she brings a no fear type demeanor to the court, she is going to bring it. The sophomore at Hortonville High School was most effective on the right side where she provides a big block, can hit line or cross, and is a threat out of serve receive. She is an athlete teams cannot sleep on.     Cardyn Blenker is a Class of 2029 prospect playing up on the WI Flight 16s squad that finished second overall in the 16 Club Division. She was able to see some time this past fall for the Columbus Catholic Dons out of Marshfield who are always a power in their division. She is able to provide plenty of power on her swing. What is really effective about the game of Blenker is that she can score points from both pins, it doesn't matter if shes on the outside or in serve receive on the right side - she is going to find a way to get the job done.     Tempo 16 Royal out of Waterloo brings a lot of athleticism and physicality to the court. One athlete on this squad who has a really mature presence, doing a lot of skills really well is Paytn Hauptl. She can serve receive, pass, and score points. She is also the floor captain for her squad. Whatever her team needs - she is going to find a way to get it done and make a positive impact.     So scrappy. Leana Biesek is quite the competitor for FVP 16 Adam out of the Appleton area. She is only a freshman where she was a libero at Wautoma High School this past fall, but this weekend she was able to swing on the outside. She showed an all around skill set that was fun to see and was a gritty gamer.     A middle blocker who has a presence is exciting. Ones who know what to do and have control. That was [player_tooltip player_id='740884' first='Avalyn' last='Hendrickson'] for FeVA 16U Jeff. She was able to move laterally, get her hands pressed over the net, transition, and be available to attack. Even if she wasn't getting the ball, she was always in the right spot, doing the right thing. She stepped up in some big moments for FeVA which is out of the West Salem area.     [player_tooltip player_id='931926' first='Devynn' last='Nissalke'] plays the libero position with a lot of athleticism and physicality. The Class of 2028 sophomore out of La Cresent-Hokah High School (MN) showed this weekend that she was among the top liberos in the 16 Club field for her Elevate16 Sneaky Sloth squad. There is nothing sloth about her game as she is quick to the ball and maintains a controlled platform to provide a clean first contact for her side of the net.     [player_tooltip player_id='757449' first='Ava' last='Kujak'] stood out right away for FeVA 16 Jeff where she could score points from the outside. Watching her compete throughout the weekend I could see her IQ as the matches would get tighter. She know how to make the smart shot. She was someone that was dependable out of system. Everyone looks for an outside to score points - which Kujak does. However, she was pretty smart with how she was able to better the ball from the pin. This was a really scrappy FeVA team who is going to win a lot of matches this club season.     There was a grit and an athleticism to the game of [player_tooltip player_id='931925' first='Evelyn' last='Berns'] who preps at Aquinas High School in La Crosse and plays for Elevate 16 Sneaky Sloths. She can serve receive, pass, and take some swings where she has no fear is going big.     There was a fun balance to this Wi Flight 16 Black team who were the runner up finishers in 16 Club. A middle blocker to know is Addy Elam who preps at Stevens Point where she came up big in the big moments with taking away shots from the opposing attacker and finding some blocks as well. She is smart when she gets set because she knows how to make the efficient play. There have been a lot of athletes coming out of SPASH who is definitely building some momentum after a trip to the state tournament this past fall.     Another middle blocker to put on the radar. [player_tooltip player_id='745548' first='Briana' last='Rusch'] brings length and athleticism to the front line where she was so efficient for the Spiketown 16.3 squad who brought home the 16 Club title. She has a high reach, gets from pin to pin quickly, and is available in transition situations. With her wingspan and intangibles, she is a next level type of athlete that I think college coaches could keep tabs on. This Spiketown 16.3 squad has a really fun chemistry and is going to be a dangerous team in 2026.     Another Minnesota athlete crossing the Mississippi to get to club practice! [player_tooltip player_id='931929' first='Taylor' last='Hamilton'] preps at La Crescent-Hokah on the Minnesota side of La Crosse. She is another sneaky good talent where she has to be around 6'0 tall and a big left handed swing. There is a huge upside to her game. She sets a big block and is a threat to score anytime the ball comes her way.     Put Lydia Williams on the radar in the Class of 2028. She comes from the shores of Lake Superior where she preps at Houghton High School and plays for Keweenaw 16 Black. I was impressed with her diverse skill set with how she was able to set and attack from the right side. She has length and athleticism and will be one to watch beyond the UP. The athletes from Keweenaw have been fun to cover at these Prep Dig Events as they have plenty of upside to their game and have shown great improvement!     Another athlete to have on the radar from the UP is Skylar Sajdak. The middle blocker showed that she was a dynamic threat for the Keweenaw 16 Black squad. This is a really athletic squad who has some fight to them. Sajdak will be one who can score points and also pose a threat with her block. With the momentum Sajdak and squad generated this weekend, they will be ones who can fight for some gold brackets come the final day of events.
