High Flyers and Heavy Arms: Top 17/18 Open Pins PD MN Slam

<p>The Prep Dig Minnesota Slam provided a great stage for some of the region's most explosive offensive talents. From committed seniors showing why they belong at the next level to emerging underclassmen making a name for themselves, the pins were humming this past weekend.</p>   <p>Here are the pin hitters who caught our eye:</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">The "Go-To" Options</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Fahl was the engine for SWMNVB all weekend. She is your prototypical primary attacker with a "big swing" and a high volleyball IQ. She excelled at scoring off high-hands and showed a lethal line shot. What makes her even more dangerous is her variety from the end line, alternating between a clipper on the tape and a deep flat float.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">The St. Olaf commit stands around 5'10 but plays much bigger. With a high contact point and smart shot selection, she knows when to unload and when to find the corner. She's a true six-rotation threat who also scores consistently from the service line.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Gibson was a clear primary option for Club Red. Regardless of the pass quality, she was consistently called upon to terminate and rarely disappointed. She was consistently coming in clutch and showing great resilience on the outside.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Dominant Right Sides</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Perhaps the most unique attacker of the weekend. This lefty right-side hitter has a heavy arm and a wicked wrist-away hard cross-shot that left defenders guessing. Her ability to read the block and find angles was top-tier.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Standing 6'0 with a great wingspan, Boelk provides an intimidating wall on the right side. She dominated some of her matchups by simply hitting over the block into middle-back when facing a rotational defense, forcing opponents to adjust their entire defensive scheme to try to stop her.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Dynamic Scorers</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">A 2027 prospect from Mosinee, Frye plays with a maturity and calm beyond her years. She was the primary target for Flight, finding open court with ease while remaining calm and effective in serve receive.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">A lefty outside with a lightning-fast swing. Puchalski, committed to Rocky Mountain College in Montana, showed great composure and a variety of tools to score against taller front rows. </p>
