Throughout the morning session, Bosse shined in her ability to keep her team's offense moving, even in some tough stretches when their ball control wasn't great. She made some athletic moves to be able to sling the ball to a hittable zone while also taking care of the in-system opportunities to balance their offensive chances. Competing on the main court versus a good team in Arizona Storm, she was a key floor factor in their third set win to take the match. Bosse and her team followed that up with a repeat 15-12 3rd set win in their final match of the day to finish 2-1. They compete on Sunday in challenge match #11.

Etzler travels across the border to Indiana to compete with Mucniana, one of the most tradition-rich elite clubs in the country. As one of the top ball control and defensive prospects in the Ohio 2028 class, she saw a lot of opportunities to get on the court in a DS situation, helping her team to a 1-2 record. What was very noticeable was her floor direction and support as a 16U that has played a lot of highly competitive ball through both the high school and club phases. She has good skills but her ability to stay composed and provide leadership is a big quality that is tough to find in a lot of younger athletes. This team next competes on day two in challenge match #29.

Although her team had a tough time securing wins on day one, Liepins did some good work during her setting opportunities to help create good opportunities for her hitters to swing. Their final match of the day was their best output as they found more of a groove in how they competed with Liepins being a catalyst to this as a floor leader and distributor. Look for them to bounce back on day two as they enter challenge bracket play in match #24.

Draper showed how skills from the right side with some big terminations and good defense. Her size puts her team into good situations through her three rotations as they will find her overhead of the setter with good tempo and location so she can reach and use her touch point along with the power she can create. Her setters like to use her in different ways including some quick options behind, which can put pressure on the defense to have to find her in transition.

Wilson is a DS on Legacy's top 16U squad. She provides good effort and stability to their defensive rotation as she made plays from both side of the court in left and right back. She complements their passing game and defense well with how she reads and responds to the ball coming across the net. Competing in Power Pool A, Wilson and her team went 1-2 on the day with two matches going the distance in the best 2 of 3 format, which saw them lose a tough one 15-13 to close out the day.
