Latest 2029 Watch List: Five Top Notch Performers

Carroll hustles on defense and keeps her arms aimed toward the net while forming walls around balls for crisp two to three-point passes. Carroll executes bump and overhead passes and provides great net coverage. In high school, Carroll has a good vertical jump to pound balls over and around double blocks. She takes sound steps toward the net and records solid four to four crosses and gap shots. Cannon takes the right steps toward the net and has a sound follow-through to pound balls to the ground. The setters give Cannon enough space away from the net to effectively execute big hits. Cannon makes things happen out of system and can even pound balls hard from the back row with a great wrist snap. She may get blocked one play then find a different way to put the ball down on the next play. Millar angles balls off blocks for big points. Millar takes quality off-speed shots, even if the team is out of system. Millar does a good job putting down overpassed balls. She capitalizes when teammates fake to the net and draw blockers away from her. She takes great steps toward the net and executes crosses. Wettstain angles balls off blocks for big kills and mixes in tips. She produces at all six spots on the court. Laker patrols the back row with authority. Laker is not afraid to go down on her knees to make big digs, yet remains under control to jumpstart the Bishop Brossart offense. Laker steps toward the net and swings hard to record big kills. Laker attacks seams with precision, cutting balls away from solid blockers. Her forward momentum may carry her one way, only to see Laker hit the ball to a completely different zone than the defenses may have anticipated.
