Millar learns from her mistakes. She may get blocked one play then find a different way to put the ball down on the next play. Millar angles balls off blocks for big points. Millar takes quality off-speed shots, even if the team is out of system. Millar does a good job putting down overpassed balls. In the air, Millar carries her momentum one way, then hits the ball a completely different direction to throw off opponents.

Millar is one of the taller players in the state and she is turning into a solid middle using that to her advantage. Millar hits balls over, around and even off blockers using a solid swing from the middle and pins. Millar smacks overpassed balls to the ground. She has a wicked cross to the left line. Tweaks here and there will make her a force in the 11th Region these next three seasons. Millar can also make nice first touches. Millar had 115 kills, 58 assisted and five solo blocks in the fall, helping Henry Clay go 24-12 on the season.

Annie brings not just her size to the game but a ton of talent with superb court IQ. She utilizes her assets well with a strong swing that shows excellent control and placement. She moves up and down the net easily and makes herself readily available for her setter. She has a solid block with great timing and technique, with a hefty reach, and will destroy an overpass. She is an enthusiastic player that shows good energy on the court supporting her teammates. She is hard not to watch as you can see she will take it to the next level no doubt!

Millar (pictured) does a good job making things happen with her size at the net. She puts balls down a variety of ways in the middle and the pins including crosses. She can tip to shallow open parts of the court and send balls flying to the back row, including the corners. Millar’s confidence has grown as the season has progressed. Millar also teams up with teammates well for sound double blocks.

Annie is a presence at the net that has multitude of levels beyond most freshman’s scope. Besides her intimidating size, she shows that she can perform her honed skills readily and repeatedly with the Varsity team. Annie’s size helps her put up an effective wall at the net with excellent timing and form. She is ahead of the play and can move up and down the net easily to provide excellent defense. She has a strong swing that gets through the block easily and can knock it down or crosscourt for the kill! She takes big swings and doesn’t hold back showing her confidence in her level of play! She is an enthusiastic player that supports her teammates and is well supported by them! Gamechanger on the court!
