Freshman outside hitter Keelan Wettstain has quickly become one of the most exciting young players in Kentucky’s 3rd Region. At 5’6″, she makes up for her size with athleticism, energy, and a standout vertical that lets her compete with anyone at the net.
Wettstain brings fire to every match and finds ways to produce from all over the court. She attacks with confidence, plays fearless defense, and owns the back row with her reads and effort.
Wettstain is already making a name for herself, and she’ll be a force in the 3rd Region for years to come.

Apollo head coach Mary Howard describes Wettstain as a lockdown defender in the back row and praised her consistent serve reception, serving and hitting. Wettstain produces from all six spots on the court. Wettstain (pictured) pounds balls to the back row on one play then taps balls over blockers on the next. Wettstain can hit off blocks and takes good cuts from the back row when needed. Defensively, Wettstain digs up solid hitters using a good platform. Wettstain had 218 kills, 174 digs and 64 aces through 25 games for the E-gals.
