The Dynamite Volleyball Club is developing some talented 2028 prospects through its Dynamite Adidas 16-1 squad.

Though results are quite where the team would like them, they are showing improvement with each tournament.

Here's a rundown of this team, which is coached by, Janna Lee, and what we have seen from the team thus far in the 2026 club season.

Versatile Setters

This Dynamite squad has a number of options that can step into a setting role if need be. Kadence Chan has been a primary setter despite being able to play on the outside as well. She's just got a good court IQ that allows her to make an impact wherever she is on the floor. Abigail Wigton is also a young setter on the roster that shows some promise, while [player_tooltip player_id='851041' first='Sophia' last='Radze'] also has some time as a setter despite being a primary defender now.

Defensive Strengths

Dynamite has some capable defenders that bring a lot of energy to the court. Dalia Kowalski is an on-the-go player that covers a lot of space and is going to throw her body around to make a play. She has energy that is infectious. Radze also brings a lot to the back court, as she shows consistency in her ability to read and anticipate attacks. Isabella Ho and Lillian Pennala also provide depth to the defense and can come through with a big serve.

Dynamite Hitters

On the outside, this Dynamite squad has Naomi Starks, [player_tooltip player_id='849832' first='McKenzie' last='Weinmann'], [player_tooltip player_id='834745' first='Lexi' last='Harper'] and [player_tooltip player_id='748133' first='Audrianna' last='Hathaway'], while Addison Short and [player_tooltip player_id='815551' first='Lacey' last='Mathews'] are patrolling the middle. Short shows some good quickness along the net and is improving on her timing and shot power. Mathews also has plenty of potential, as she uses her opportunities well. Harper has the ability to get on a roll from the outside. She plays long and can power through blocks. Hathaway brings a good all-around game to the outside, being able to stand out on defense as well. Starks and Weinmann can unload on the ball as well, while also providing a nice spark from the service line.

Season Highlights

Dynamite Adidas 16-1 has taken a few lumps this season, but the results have gotten better as the season has went along. Last month was their top finish, placing in the top 10 of the Nike Mideast Qualifier. Motor City Madness saw the team lose two matches in three sets, then bouncing back to win the final two matches of the event. Defense and serving are the big keys for this squad. As they can do that efficiently, they will find improved success. More events are coming in May, where Dynamite can show the growth it has made.
