The Show Me Qualifier always gives us an infinite number of storylines and standouts to cover. I've made it an annual stop on my club calendar since I started covering the Nebraska scene nearly six years ago. However, that Nebraska intrigue can be upped tenfold when we get the "home teams" involved.

It's no surprise that Kansas and Missouri bring their full armada to this Kansas City qualifier. Our coverage has visited with some impactful 17s and 16 Open gems, but our discussion can go much further than that. The future is here, and it's in the Class of 2029.

The 15 Open division is in the spotlight for this one. It's a perfect place to start after the Heart of America Region delivered a championship-winning squad and several other high placers. The options are limitless.

Of course, we're starting with the champs. [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] 15 Black defended home territory with a perfect 9-0 mark, and Whitney helped anchor the operation in the back row. This is a tremendous middle-back passer who will readily sub in from the bench and make an immediate impact. 15 Black wasn't afraid to let Whitney pass a large segment of the court during her backcourt rotations, and these contributions led to unparalleled success at Show Me. Dynasty is ready to take its championship-winning form on the road.

We love a good showcase throwback. Fogel was an immediate star during my winter visit to Kansas City for our Prep Dig Showcase circuit. That event featured plenty of 2029 firepower, but Fogel stole the show with her effortless athleticism and lightning-fast arm. Her skills have clearly translated to her work with Dynasty 15 Black. Fogel can line up on either pin and has the steady platform needed to dime tough serves, too. 15 Black's title run provided another reminder of this Belton standout's incredible ceiling, no matter which position she's asked to command.

We're filling our lefty opposite quota with this one. Like Dynasty 15 Black, KC Power 15-1 entered Show Me with a 15 Open bid already in the bank. That didn't stop Hudson from maintaining her dominant form anyway. This high-flying southpaw generates angles that opposing blockers aren't used to seeing. Hudson thrives on quick tempos behind the setter that allow her to capitalize on any window she's given. We shouldn't be surprised to see Hudson running the show after she produced nearly 500 kills in her debut fall season on Missouri's prep circuit. Her potential career numbers are mind-boggling.

The Kansas City area is known for its athletic setters who can shine at multiple positions. This encapsulates Floyd's game perfectly. We've seen her carry outside hitter roles before, but she guides PVA 15 Elite as a full-time setter in the starting lineup. She channels her attacking experience in the way she's able to square her feet and get under the ball. Floyd will not shy away from setting against the flow and taking risks in out-of-system situations. PVA's vast network of GJNC-bound teams will be a major Heart of America storyline this summer.

Ball control isn't the only thing going for PVA 15 Elite. Ulberg brought the right-side heat for 15 Elite and added to the team's balanced, low-error offense. This terminal opposite can also run non-traditional routes that let her tee off away from the antenna. No matter where PVA's first-ball patterns take her, Ulberg is sure to produce some head-turning attacks that will fill up that stat sheet. Look out for this group in the race to Indianapolis's podium.

Finally, we're visiting with the MAVS crew. A discussion of successful MAVS teams wouldn't be complete without a libero feature, and Peterson carries the contrasting jersey well for 15 Elite. This Open-qualified crew amassed a 5-3 record at Show Me behind Peterson's well-rounded effort along the end line. She was a reliable leader in the passing pattern who eased burdens for 15 Elite's pin hitters and defensive specialists. Out-of-system situations were also an opportunity for Peterson to put her quality hands on display. Show Me's quality reps will bring MAVS back in the Open title hunt when the big prize is up for grabs this summer.

Let's complete 15 Elite's ball control "battery." While Peterson has excelled as the team's primary libero, Stuart has set the standard as MAVS' elite singal-caller. The Blue Springs freshman has sharp, fluid jump sets that freeze middle blockers across the net. This led to some massive hitting windows at Show Me, allowing 15 Elite's springy pin hitters to capitalize. We've also seen Stuart escalate her aggression as a frontcourt attacker to open up her team's two-hitter rotations. It's a full toolbox for yet another game-changing MAVS setter.
