Of course, we’re starting with the champs. Dynasty 15 Black defended home territory with a perfect 9-0 mark, and Whitney helped anchor the operation in the back row. This is a tremendous middle-back passer who will readily sub in from the bench and make an immediate impact. 15 Black wasn’t afraid to let Whitney pass a large segment of the court during her backcourt rotations, and these contributions led to unparalleled success at Show Me. Dynasty is ready to take its championship-winning form on the road.

Whitney parlayed a solid freshman season and a strong showing in December at the Prep Dig Exposure Tour. She registered 194 digs and 325 serve receptions for Free State last fall. She is a spunky libero who helps keep her team in system with her first passes. She has excellent court instincts and looks poised to be a solid defender for years to come. She is ranked No. 22 overall.

Whitney has already seen her share of the spotlight after nabbing the top libero standing in our Kansas Class of 2029 rankings. Still, the Lawrence Free State libero managed to raise the standard further through her Exposure Tour performance. She passed dimes outside her midline and could instantly read serves traveling into open seams. Whitney brings the kind of influence that can’t be fully measured in a box score, but her stats aren’t too shabby, either. Her 200-dig freshman campaign is the perfect prelude to the club season with Dynasty .

Whitney was the “surprise performer” from this group. This was my first time watching her compete. She is quick and strikes like a rattlesnake. She has quick feet, is willing to lay out for the tough dig, and makes consistent first passes.

Whitney joins the rankings at No. 9 overall. She will be playing in the Class 6A State Tournament in Salina this week. Through 83 sets played, she has registered 152 kills and 249 serve receptions for Free State. She is an aggressive athlete who understands the recruiting process. She reached out to me to get on my radar, which always goes a long way in getting noticed by others down the road. Free State enters Friday’s tournament with a 20-12 record as the No. 8 Seed.
