[player_tooltip player_id='575251' first='Anissa' last='Lacy'], a Class of 2028 libero and defensive specialist from Mansfield High School and Courtside United Black, is a back row player whose floor coverage and passing accuracy have made her a consistent presence on a solid Mansfield program. Standing at 5'5" she plays with a physical tenacity and first-step quickness that allows her to get to balls in the back corners that most defenders are content to leave on the floor, and her refusal to give up on a rally even when the play looks finished is the kind of competitive quality that defines the back row identity of a team. Her serve receive platform stays mechanically clean even late in tight sets when other players start to drift from their technique, and that consistency under pressure tells you the training has taken hold at a deep level. She brings an intensity and focus to every point that translates directly into the kind of back row culture college coaches want to build around. Anissa is someone who we should all keep our eye on this coming year. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot on our Official Watch List.

[player_tooltip player_id='580695' first='Madi' last='Bennett'], a Class of 2028 libero and defensive specialist from Rock Hill High School in Frisco and [program_tooltip program_id='510733' first='Drive' last='Nation'] Volleyball Club, is developing her back row game that should garner a lot of attention for the next few years. She has attended many of our showcases over the past two years and has earned numerous Top Performer awards from our scouts and court coaches. She plays with a quick-twitch efficiency in the back row and has been building the passing fundamentals and defensive reading skills that define a high-level libero from the ground up. Her film on Hudl shows a player who competes hard on every contact and approaches the defensive phase of the game with the same intensity that the best liberos bring to serve receive, refusing to treat one skill as more important than the other. Every single one of our court coaches that have interacted with her have noticed just how much she loves the game and also how she has natural leadership tendencies that can really help out a college program both on and off of the court. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot on our Official Watch List.

[player_tooltip player_id='519337' first='Mady' last='Perez'], a Class of 2028 defensive specialist and libero from Mission Veterans Memorial High School and McAllen Premier Volleyball Club, is one of the most difficult players in South Texas to game plan against because the offensive production she generates from the back row is not something opposing coaches can afford to ignore. Opposing head coaches have publicly cited keeping the ball away from her as a primary defensive priority, and she arrived at the area round of the UIL playoffs with over 400 kills on the season alongside a district MVP award that reflected both her offensive damage and her overall impact on a Patriots team that carried real postseason expectations. She put up 35 kills in a fifth-set district-title clincher, scored the final three points herself to seal the match, and walked off the court exhausted and completely committed, which is as clear a picture of what she brings to a program as you can get. The volleyball IQ she plays with extends to every phase of the game and she communicates and competes with a confidence that elevates everyone around her on the court. College programs that have not yet evaluated the Rio Grande Valley are missing out on one of the more compelling two-way competitors in the 2028 class in Texas. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot on our Official Watch List.
