Arkansas Firepower: 10 Pins Ready for the National Stage

Nationals is where pin hitters separate themselves. The best outside and right-side attackers are asked to do it all. As Arkansas teams prepare for USAV Nationals, several pin hitters are positioned to make a major impact. Some are established names, while others are looking to use the national stage to elevate their recruiting stock.   Here are Ten Arkansas pin hitters ready to shine at Nationals.    Jackson continues to emerge as a force to be reckoned with in the class of 2028. She and fellow outsider [player_tooltip player_id='746203' first='Taylor' last='Wherry'] form a dynamic duo from the outside. London combines her rare athleticism with the ability to score from multiple locations on the court. She is one of the best back-row hitters you will find.   Her speed and quickness, along with her amazing leaping ability are special, but what really sets her apart is her defense. If she wasn't pin, she could easily be a libero at a top level. Combine all that with a high IQ and competitive spirit, you don't want to miss seeing her in person. You can catch her and her 501 16.1 teammates in the Liberty Division     Myleigh is a special player. She possesses the physical tools, and offensive potential coaches look for in a pin. She displays great versatility in that she can play all three front row positions at a high level. Her power arm will be on display with EVA 16 Elite teammates in the Liberty Division.   Mendenhall excels at the net defensively with her leaping ability (102" block touch) allowing her to control the action. She is also a very reliable defender off the net with great footwork and her ability in serve receive. She attacks with confidence at each of the front row spots but has become a terminator from the outside position.     I was able to watch Noelle in person at the Delta Regionals and she really stood out. She is an aggressive hitter that can also hit with finesse. She is always calling for the ball and dominating the net on a very talented Storm 17.1 team. She always demands the defense's attention.   Hammond possesses all the shots in her arsenal. One time she's powering the ball to the middle of the floor and the next time she hits line. Her ability to keep defenders guessing leads to open holes on the floor that she reads very well. Catch Noelle and her team in the American Division at Nationals.     She's the top right-side in the state. This lefty powerhouse has tremendous potential that makes her difficult to ignore. She brings athleticism, length, and offensive power to any competition.   Her sophomore season at Fayetteville HS, she had 274 kills, hitting .272. Those are strong numbers for a veteran, but Avah achieved those numbers as sophomore. Brown has continued that pace with her Ozark Juniors 16 Premier team as they head to the National Division after winning the Delta Regional in impressive fashion. Team will have a hard time keying in on one person with this team. There are weapons everywhere and [player_tooltip player_id='749911' first='Avah' last='Brown'] is one of the keys to their success.     One of the younger players on this list, you wouldn't know it by watching Cameron play. She brings confidence, grit and a competitive mindset every time she steps on the court. She is a high flying six rotation outside Beaux's combination of size, athleticism, and high volleyball IQ will make her one to watch for years to come.   At 5'11" she can impact a match through all six rotations while showing advanced offensive instincts. Boasting a 10' approach touch and 9'8" block touch she can defend as well as score. Make time to find her and the Storm 15 Adidas in the Freedom Division at Nationals.     Londyn is a standout in the class of 2027. Her ability to score in and out of system makes her a difficult player to defend. She has shown the ability to perform in big moments and will be a key weapon as the Ozark Juniors 17 Premier heads to the Liberty Division at Nationals.   Jackson has the ability to attack from either pin with power and efficiency. She does an excellent job of finding seams and tooling the block when called for. Her explosiveness is what shines on film. She continues to stand out while playing on a pin heavy team with stars like UNA commit, [player_tooltip player_id='569597' first='Emmerson' last='Rehkopf']and OBU commit [player_tooltip player_id='743939' first='Audrey' last='Calva']     Brinkley has one of the most powerful right arms in the state. Few players possess her size and power.   The 6'0" standout has rapidly established herself as one of the top young prospects regardless of class. Coaches have known about her power, now they are seeing her complete game. She has developed the ability to attack all areas of the court, score around blocks, and terminate against high-level competition.   Nationals provides a great opportunity for Gigerich to showcase why she is considered one of Arkansas' brightest young stars. Expect to see coaches around her court when the EVA 15 Elite compete in the Liberty Division.     [player_tooltip player_id='769420' first='Leighton' last='Cross'] enters Nationals as one of the more productive young attackers in Arkansas.   The Southside standout recorded 227 kills as a sophomore, proving she can be a primary offensive option against quality competition. What stands out most about Cross is her ability to generate offense consistently while continuing to expand her all-around game.   At 5-foot-9, she brings good size to the pin and has shown the ability to score from multiple locations on the court. Cross has a solid serve receive and her passing has really improved.   Nationals provides another opportunity for Cross to showcase her offensive ability on a larger stage. As one of the top young attackers in the Fort Smith area, she is a player college coaches should continue monitoring closely. Her Ft Smith Jrs 16 Elite team will compete in the American Division at Nationals     One of the new players to emerge on the Arkansas recruiting radar is Carleigh Cullen.   Competing for the Arkansas Jrs Storm out of northeast Arkansas, she has shown up on my radar. Her Ark Jrs Storm 16 will be playing in the American Division at Nationals.   Carleigh was 8th in the 5A in kills with 174, 5th in aces, 11th in digs and 19th in blocks. Cullen showed she has the talent to be a six rotation player and compete at a high level.   She may be a newer name for some recruiting circles, but don't be surprised if more coaches leave Nationals knowing exactly who she is.   A rising 2028 prospect whose balanced stat line and six-rotation skill set suggest her best volleyball is still ahead of her. Nationals could be her breakout moment.     Few players compete harder than Walker. Despite being undersized by traditional pin-hitter standards, she consistently finds ways to score. Her ability to tool blockers, play six rotations, and compete with relentless energy makes her a player opponents never overlook twice.   She may be 5'6" but she is one of the smartest pins in Arkansas. She utilizes every shot in the book and her leaping ability is unparalleled. The name Jill Gillan comes to mind when you watch her play. Walker is a dominate six rotation player that will find the right fit at the next level.
