Walker has been putting up big numbers early for Harmony Grove, leading the attack with 96 kills in just 18 sets. Her 5.3 kills per set stands out, but she is far from a one-dimensional player. Walker has added 82 digs and handled 105 serve receptions, showing the six-rotation value that translates well to the next level.

Scout’s Take: Walker is the do-it-all Swiss Army knife for the Lady Cardinals. Undersized for an outside by most standards, she doesn’t let that limit her game. Walker currently ranks second in the state in kills per set, just behind Farmington’s Emmerson Rehkopf Emmerson Rehkopf 5'9" | OH/RS Farmington | 2027 State #147 Nation AR . Preslie is simply a ballplayer. She is strong, quick, intelligent and relentless, with the ability to impact all six rotations. She is one of the more exciting players in the state to watch.

Preslie Walker Preslie Walker 5'5" | OH/DS/L Harmony Grove | 2027 State AR can flat-out play. She may not be the biggest outside on the court, but that hasn’t stopped her from producing. Last season, Walker put down 317 kills while hitting .242, added 226 digs, 25 blocks, and 17 assists. She finds ways to get points, and she doesn’t need everything to be perfect to do it.

What I like about Preslie is the way she competes. She plays bigger than her size, isn’t afraid to challenge the block, and brings that same attitude to the back row. She can hammer a ball when it’s there, but she’s also smart enough to find open court instead of trying to win every point with power.

Walker has already shown she can carry a big offensive load. She is a big part of the Harmony Grove attack and they will need her production in the tough 4A-6 Region.

Despite being just 5’6″, Walker continues to be recruited as a collegiate outside hitter because of her ability to score, compete and impact matches from the pin. This six rotation outside hitter impacts every phase of the game. The Arkansas Select 17 Elite are preparing for the American Division at Nationals.

She has spent the break leading into Nationals focusing on individual skill work, continuing her recruiting efforts and enjoying additional time with her teammates. Walker credits Arkansas Select’s success to a team wide commitment to defense and constant effort of improvement. As we get closer to Nationals, they have switched from individual skill work to team prep.

Preslie has an unwavering desire to succeed. What motivates her? Being underestimated. She consistently finds ways to tool the block, score around larger defenders, and power through blockers who expect her to play small.

Head Coach Michaela Biehslich says” Presli is a great example of our team’s mentality. She is undersized for an outside hitter, but she wins with her volleyball IQ just as much as her athleticism.”

While her competitiveness is obvious on the court, I can tell you from interviewing her, she remains remarkably humble off it. She would rather talk about her teammates than herself. For Walker, Indianapolis represents another opportunity to show that size doesn’t define success.
