The class of 2027 is right in the heart of their recruiting journey. Many have committed, but the majority are still looking for that perfect fit. There were numerous 2027s in the 17 Elite division who have not committed (at least, as far as I know). Here are some that should be next on your call list.    Ellie is the libero for 1st Alliance 17 Gold, and she does an awesome job running the back court. Her team is very offense-heavy, but Ellie is the rock that keeps everything flowing smoothly. She keeps her passes clean and simple and speeds up the tempo on them when she can. She has crazy-fast reactions on defense and in coverage. Her speed and ball control set her apart as a libero.     Natalie was such a fun setter to watch for 1st Alliance 17 Gold. She utilized every hitter on the court and had great connections with each of them. I thought she did a great job feeding her hitters the best possible ball and making smart decisions that were tough to read. Natalie is a smart player who was not super flashy but got the job done efficiently and with great energy.     Emmi was on the pin for 1st Alliance at the Gauntlet and was aggressive and explosive. She plays a fearless game of volleyball while simultaneously mixing up her shots. Emmi's heavy hand on the ball made for powerhouse swings and impactful points.     Leah was an absolute game-changer on the court. She was an impactful leader in both her physical and mental game. As a setter, Leah is clean, quick, and has good fundamentals. As a leader, she is positive, engaging, and a high-level communicator. What stood out about her play is that she is the entire package as an athlete.     Peyton is a dynamic libero who could elevate play at nearly any school. She can play across the back row and has an incredibly high volleyball IQ. Peyton reads the court very well and is a high-level serve receiver. She has some of the best ball control around and reads the ball quickly off the server's hands.     Taylor is a gritty, energetic, and dedicated athlete. She puts in the work on every single play. She is the type of athlete who demands excellence from herself and her teammates, while also being the biggest cheerleader for them on the court. Taylor finds a way to make the toughest plays look easy, and she is a fast, explosive player as a setter and on defense.     Natalya was one of my favorite middles throughout the entire tournament. She did all of the little things right from the first match to the third set of the championship. I saw her pick up numerous balls in coverage, then transition and make herself available on offense. Her positive energy was contagious on the court and she made numerous momentum-changing plays in the championship match alone.     Amelie is not the flashiest pin, but she is incredibly powerful with a sky-high vertical. She proved this weekend how she is focused, competitive, and gets the job done. She is disciplined in both defense and transition and puts up a solid, consistent block. Her impact is felt in every match, and she rarely makes an error. Her contributions consistently add up over the course of a match.     Abigail is another pin who might not be the flashiest, but sure is efficient and clean. She can dominate in a match and has a powerful swing with great shot selection. Abigail's athleticism really showed in the tough matches at the Gauntlet, when she would make multiple jumps in a single play. She is a player who is still bursting with potential and will be a huge asset to a college program.     Everly should be on a lot of recruiters' lists, if she isn't already. She was a key player for Circle City in their championship run and was a consistent force in every aspect of the game. Her pass to attack was highly efficient. Her talent will transition very well to the college game because she balanced taking risks and control very well. She also showed her high volleyball IQ and great court awareness throughout the tournament.
