Class 2A Players Positioned to Make a Huge Impact This Fall

High school coaches are starting to see which players have made the biggest leaps in skills, while also figuring out how to fill the holes left by graduating seniors. A big focus right now is also getting players introduced and buying into playing new roles and helping teams gel before the season begins. That defensive base has carried over into club, where she's not only swinging from the pin, but a steady backrow presence. She's versatile, dependable, and competes hard no matter where she's on the court. This club season with [program_tooltip program_id='429186' first='Kandi' last='Elite'], she's been sharpening her all around game even more. She brings a big vertical and excellent court vision, which makes her tough to defend. She finished with 988 assists and 279 digs and earned all conference honors for her play on the season. Heading into this fall, she's expected to take another step forward as Cleveland looks to defend its section title and make another push at state. I had the chance to watch her this club season as well, where she showed her versatility playing a unique six rotation middle role. While she is naturally highly effective and terminal out of the middle, she can also swing effectively from both pins proving she is just a stud for such a young age. She's honestly just a straight up scoring machine, whether terminating on offense or scoring points on defense with her impressive blocking skills. At 6'1”, she uses her height really well at the net and has excellent court vision which allows her to know when to take a big swing, tip, or push a ball into the corner. While she was definitely near the top of the stat charts in Class 2A last year, she's definitely someone who's going to be there again this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
