Maxwell makes crisp passes, keeping her body aimed at the targets in the front row no matter where the passes are coming from. She does a good job sending out of system balls back toward the net. Maxwell consistently hustles after balls. Maxwell hits from the back row with a good downward trajectory and hits off blocks for big points. Marcum takes nice swings for 16A Ashland and steps in to run the offense. She uses her good hands to set balls with precision and does not lock her arms in the process. Marcum executes a variety of sets including the back set. Frank makes smooth first touches and does hard after balls, yet under control. Frank also provides strong net protection and is always encouraging her teammates. Frank has great control of her serves. She mixes serving locations unless she finds a weakness on the other side. Pillow makes quick in-air adjustments to tip balls to shallow parts of the court and hits balls off blockers for big points.
