June 15 is one of the biggest dates on the volleyball recruiting calendar, marking the first opportunity for many NCAA Division I coaches to directly communicate with rising juniors. For middle blockers, it can be the start of a recruiting journey that accelerates quickly.

The middle blocker position continues to be one of the most important pieces of a successful team. College coaches look for middles who can impact the game on both sides of the net—whether it's closing blocks, creating offensive mismatches, running a fast-tempo attack, or providing a consistent presence in transition. The best middles combine size, athleticism, timing, and volleyball IQ to influence nearly every rally.

Nevada continues to develop a talented group of middle blockers, giving college coaches plenty of prospects to evaluate. From physical net defenders to dynamic attackers who can score from multiple areas of the court, the state's 2028 class features a variety of players with the tools to compete at the next level. As June 15 approaches, several Nevada middles are positioned to attract attention from college programs looking for length, mobility, offensive versatility, and the ability to make an impact at the net.

As always, being left off a contact list is not a reflection of a player's future recruiting success. Nevada's 2028 class features far more talented liberos and defensive specialists than could fit into a single article. Recruiting is a constantly evolving process, and players continue to develop, improve, and create new opportunities for themselves every season. College coaches evaluate much more than rankings or lists—they look for consistency, work ethic, coachability, competitiveness, and the ability to impact winning. Keep working, keep improving, and continue putting yourself in positions to be seen. The next breakthrough could be just around the corner.
