The same can be said of her tenure at Shelton, which yielded the school's first-ever state championship. Branson offered yet another reminder of her all-around impact when she traveled with South Central NE 18 Black to our Des Moines event. Her quick arm and explosive approach will keep her team in the spotlight ahead of AAU Nationals. Ohana drew plenty of eyes through their floor-denting terminations, but Hobbs deserves credit for her willingness to make "unflashy" plays in scramble situations. The Dowling Catholic senior can find ways to score and knows when to be assertive. This Iowa PowerPlex 17U Mendoza outside hitter has dazzled us on the Prep Dig Circuit, and that's not merely a testament to her rocket arm. She also brings a wicked serve to the end line and can draw a jump spinner from her arsenal. Jondle's ball control contributions persist through her hustle and leadership in the middle-back area. Like many of 16U Nelson's pins, Stanfel is willing to swing on either side of the setter and adapt to several different lineups. However, this explosive athlete had some of her most highlight-worthy swings on the right side during the Midwest National Tune-Up. Stanfel readily exploits seams in the block and can turn down the line, too.
