Dallas Freshman Showcase Top Performers Vol 3

Prep Dig Texas Showcases are back! We had some big events that were held at the Courtside Sports Center on July 19th. The Freshman showcase for the 2030 grad class was amazing! These events always bring together athletes from across the state looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. There were tons of awesome players that we evaluated from their awesome production. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. Let's take a closer look at three players who earned Top Performer honors at the Dallas Freshman showcase.    Madysen is a 5'10" pin attacker in the class of 2030 and made the most of her day at the Dallas Freshman Showcase. She attacked with timing and commitment from the left pin throughout the event and the court coaches evaluating her noted the consistency of her contact point and the competitive focus she brought to every rally regardless of what the previous one had looked like. Her approach was clean and her armswing showed the kind of mechanics that translate when the blocking gets taller and faster at the next level. She competed with sportsmanship and genuine effort that made her one of the more enjoyable outside hitters to watch throughout the day, and the Top Performer award she earned reflected the totality of her performance. [player_tooltip player_id='1005302' first='Maycee' last='Mace'] earned her Top Performer award by doing what great middles in the room do…she competed on every single play. She showed her best self at the Dallas Freshman Showcase by showing that her instincts and work ethic are already ahead of where a lot of players are at this stage. Her first step off the net was quick, her closing angle at the block was purposeful, and she attacked through the middle with an efficiency and decisiveness that turned heads throughout the day. Court coaches and scouts on the floor noted her competitive energy as one of the defining qualities of her performance and for a 2030 middle who has years of physical development still in front of her, that foundation is exactly what you want to see. [player_tooltip player_id='876160' first='Reese' last='Sokoloski'] is very tall 5'11" outside hitter in the class of 2030 and competes with TAV 15 Elite, one of the most competitive 15s rosters in North Texas. That combination of frame and club environment has been accelerating her development and the Dallas Freshman Showcase gave evaluators a chance to see the results in person. Her length at the pin was immediately apparent and the way she used it to generate attacking angles and close above the block showed a player whose physical tools and technical development are moving in the same direction at the same time. Court coaches noted her serve receive consistency and her back row engagement alongside her offensive production. She earned her Top Performer award by being effective across the whole game, not just in the moments where the ball was set to her.
