Dallas Freshman Showcase Top Performer Vol 4

Prep Dig Texas Showcases are back! We had some big events that were held at the Courtside Sports Center on July 19th. The Freshman showcase for the 2030 grad class was amazing! These events always bring together athletes from across the state looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. There were tons of awesome players that we evaluated from their awesome production. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. Let's take a closer look at three players who earned Top Performer honors at the Dallas Freshman showcase.    Jalynn is a 5'2" libero who plays for one of the most respected club programs in North Texas and on the floor at the Dallas Freshman Showcase those two facts told you everything you needed to know about what to expect. She was very fast all around the court. Her reads were sharp and her platform was steady under pace that tested everyone around her. What stood out most was how much she competed on every single play, not just the clean ones. Court coaches watching her throughout the day took notice of a player who understands that the libero position is a mindset as much as it is a skill set. She brought genuine energy to her teammates and kept the back row connected throughout every segment of the event. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.     Kori came to Carrollton from Tyler and made an immediate impression. At 5'10" as a middle blocker in the 2030 class, the frame is already there and the way she moved through the system showed that the athleticism is developing right alongside it. Her closing speed at the block drew the most attention from court coaches early in the day. By the time the scrimmages started, they were watching her transition out of the net just as closely. She communicated well with her teammates and competed with the kind of focus that does not waver when the day gets long and the competition gets harder. She is a prospect that college programs will be talking about for a long time and staffs outside the region should get familiar with her before that conversation gets too far along without them. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.     Miss Duronio earned her Top Performer award with a defensive performance that was hard to ignore from the first drill segment of the day. At 5'5", she has real length for the libero position, and she used every bit of it to cover ground that shorter defenders would have surrendered. Her platform was solid while still soft and her reads on opposing hitters came earlier than when they contacted the ball. She communicated constantly, kept her side of the net organized, and competed with a consistency that did not waver as the day went on. [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last=''] develops defensive players at a high level and Duronio is a product of that standard. The sportsmanship she carried throughout the event was just as visible as her technical production, and the players around her responded to it. She is one of the more complete young liberos to come through a Prep Dig showcase in the 2030 class so far. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
