Dallas Freshman Showcase Top Performers Vol 5

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Texas Showcases are back!  We had some big events that were held at the Courtside Sports Center on July 19^th.  The Freshman showcase for the 2030 grad class was amazing! These events always bring together athletes from across the state looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. There were tons of awesome players that we evaluated from their awesome production. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. Her approach was purposeful. She attacked through the middle with efficiency and did not waste swings on low-percentage balls. Court coaches noted her footwork and the awareness she showed reading the block in front of her. Her leadership throughout the scrimmage segments was quiet but consistent, the kind that shows up in how a team responds rather than how loudly someone talks. At 5'10" with this kind of positional feel already in place, the 2030 class is going to be hearing her name for a while, and Grapevine is going to have a very interesting player walking into their gym this fall. She attacked with conviction from the left pin and the ball had real authority behind it every time she made contact. Her serve receive was dependable across the scrimmage segments, and she never came off the floor looking for a break from the competition. The drive to compete at events like this one, coming from a smaller market like Tatum, is itself a signal worth noting for college coaches building their boards in the 2030 class. She competes with an edge that you cannot manufacture, and it was on full display throughout the day. At 5'10" with that kind of motor, the trajectory ahead of her is a genuinely interesting one to follow. What she brought to the Dallas Freshman Showcase was a preview of why that environment suits her. Her approach timing was ahead of where most 2030 outside hitters are operating and the way she adjusted her attack when the first option was not available showed real volleyball instinct. Dallas Skyline has her developing in the right direction and the combination of those two environments is putting her in position to grow quickly. I watched her this club season and she was phenomenal.  It was nice to see how much she has improved going in to her freshman season. The Top Performer award she earned on July 19th is an early data point on a recruiting timeline that is just getting started, and if the work she showed in Carrollton is any indication, that timeline is going to move fast.
