Houston Stock Up Showcase Top Performers Vol 4

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Texas Showcases are back!  We had some big events that were held at the Competitive Edge Sports Complex on July 25^th.  The Houston Stock Up showcase was amazing! These events always bring together athletes from across the state looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. There were tons of awesome players that we evaluated from their awesome production. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. She kept her platform clean throughout both sessions and was one of the more reliable passers in the building when servers were going right at her. What stood out most was how she carried herself between points. No drama, no hanging her head, just reset and go. She communicated with the players around her and kept the energy on her side of the net moving forward. The 5'5" frame gives her some extra range in the back row and she used it well. Paysse is a player who does her job quietly and does it right, and that showed all afternoon. At 5'9" she has real length to work with at the attacker position and the swing she generates is a naturally powerful one. Her approach timing was sharp throughout the scrimmage segments and she did a solid job staying engaged in serve receive rather than saving her focus for the front row. Lovejoy and [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last=''] have put her in competitive environments and the habits that come from that showed up in how she handled the moments when things did not go her way. She competes with a composure that is easy to appreciate. The Top Performer award she earned in Spring was well deserved. Her reads in the back row were ahead of her class year and she was getting to balls early rather than reacting after the fact. The court coaches running the Houston Showcase noted her first-step quickness and the consistency of her platform mechanics across both sessions of the event. She kept her teammates talking and never let a tough point bleed into the next one. At 5'4" there is still plenty of physical development in front of her but the foundational tools are already there. She is a player to keep tabs on in the 2030 class. We love her commitment to her craft as we have seen her in back to back showcases in Dallas and now Houston. This speaks volumes in how she values playing against top competition.
