Middles I Liked At The Kentucky Stock Up Showcase

With that being said, for first-timers, there were a ton of solid ball touches, positive growth from the athletes and a ton of potential and talent to be had. Her size is a plus, and she stuck out of the crowd immediately because she used every inch of her length to block well, attack high and defend from pin to pin with ease. On the attack, Hadley's high contact point had her regularly score points deep in the corners, becoming almost indefensible at times. As a blocker, she takes up space by pressing well and has strong hands to deflect balls, making the defenders behind her thankful for an easier ball to defend. Even when middles were removed from drills to save their legs, Hadley stepped in as a right side to continue the drills on her court, which shows how bad she wanted to play and how much of a giver she is to the process. I'm more convinced that Miss Yates is an M2 for the next level, yet her ability to do all things any other middle could do yesterday leads me to believe that the sky is the limit with this young lady. More often than not, the cheer that came from her teammates in drills was because of a terminal play from her hand, either attacking or defending. I had to remind myself that she's only going into her freshman year, as the maturity in her athletic acuity and volleyball IQ were beyond her years. I wrote about her prior to the showcase, and what I saw proved that she's got a ton of potential, as the volleyball knowledge, strength and overall understanding of what she can do will carry her far in her playing career.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
