Easily the biggest among the middles in attendance Saturday, Hadley’s size was an intimidating factor to all opponents going against her. On the attack, Hadley’s high contact point had her regularly score points deep in the corners, becoming almost indefensible at times. As a blocker, she takes up space by pressing well and has strong hands to deflect balls, making the defenders behind her thankful for an easier ball to defend. Even when middles were removed from drills to save their legs, Hadley stepped in as a right side to continue the drills on her court, which shows how bad she wanted to play and how much of a giver she is to the process. I look forward to her progress when she comes around Indiana next spring.

Speaking of big and physical, Hadley is a well-trained and hard-hitting middle that would work best in a system that needs an M2 for the class of 2028. Already accustomed to a higher volleyball acuity by training at both St. Henry and NKYVC, getting Miss Lemmond accustomed to collegiate-level training shouldn’t be too hard. That length of hers REALLY shines on the block—-although she’s listed as 6’1-ish, she plays much bigger on defense and is trouble for any attacker looking to hit past her.

Lemmond is demonstrating different ways to control the net. Lemmond pounds ones to the sides of blockers and down. She is really tough in the middle when she’s in sync with the setter. Lemmond takes coaching and runs with it. Lemmond is also a sound blocker.
