Incoming freshmen showed up and showed out, expressing that they are eager to make their mark on the Indiana high school scene. Here are six freshmen liberos and setters that caught my eye on Sunday.

Stella has spent the summer playing up an age group for Circle City 15 White, and on Sunday, she made it clear why. Stella possesses advanced leadership traits at a young age, communicating effectively with teammates. A smart and confident player, Stella makes the game slow down and never seems to be rushed. Stella is always looking for opportunities to dump and plays aggressively at the net. Her combination of athleticism, technique, and volleyball IQ makes her a player worth paying close attention to in the 2030 class.

Another Circle City product, Maddy stood out on Sunday as a well-rounded player. Daeger spreads the ball around the court effectively, using a clean release to put her teammates in good positions. A high IQ player, she anticipated well at the net and kept the defense guessing. Maddy's advanced feel for the game and athleticism make her a name to monitor as an incoming freshman at perennial powerhouse Roncalli.

In what was a theme of Sunday's event, Ava is another member of the 2030 class that impressed with her maturity and advanced volleyball IQ. Flickinger stood out in a crowded libero group, displaying athleticism, good feet, and an excellent ability to anticipate and adjust quickly. In addition to success in serve receive, Ava performed well from the service line. An effective communicator, Ava took ownership on the floor during scrimmage action. The incoming freshman has the ability to make an impact for Northridge this fall.

Making her way up to Indianapolis from southern Indiana, Emma impressed at the Stock Up Showcase and established herself as a name to know in the 2030 class. Coffelt is an advanced athlete and uses good feet to make adjustments on the fly. Emma controls the ball well and consistently puts passes on target. Another well-rounded player, Emma displayed above-average ability from the service line. Look for her to contribute for Boonville this fall.

Southern Indiana was well-represented in Indianapolis on Sunday, with Delaney adding herself to the list of 2030 products to watch in the region. Stafford used good feet and awareness to her advantage, passing effectively. She was another libero to stand out at the service line, showcasing her ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. An exciting young player, Stafford has a strong foundation of skills to build on as she develops over the course of her prep career. She will be a name to know in southern Indiana moving forward.

In an event loaded with exciting young talent, Kendall made her presence felt as a high-motor player. Segal displayed tremendous hustle and heart throughout the day, bringing the energy every time she stepped on the court. The incoming freshman showed leadership ability with her communication and willingness to do whatever it takes to help her team. These intangible skills, in addition to present athleticism and a solid fundamental base, make her an intriguing follow in the 2030 class.
