Nebraska's AAU Nationals Stock Risers: Wave 4 Top Performers

We're fully entrenched in our post-Nationals coverage, and it's been too long since we've checked in on the Orlando crowd. AAU Nationals brought out the best in some of Nebraska's top contenders, as demonstrated through title triumphs from <a href="https://prepdig.com/2026/06/river-city-jrs-15-navy-continues-title-tradition-at-aau-nationals/" id="https://prepdig.com/2026/06/river-city-jrs-15-navy-continues-title-tradition-at-aau-nationals/">[program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'] 15 Navy</a>, <a href="https://prepdig.com/2026/06/nebraska-elite-17-1-cements-legacy-with-aau-nationals-title/" id="https://prepdig.com/2026/06/nebraska-elite-17-1-cements-legacy-with-aau-nationals-title/">Nebraska Elite 17-1</a>, and <a href="https://prepdig.com/2026/07/river-city-jrs-15-red-completes-clean-sweep-at-aau-nationals/" id="https://prepdig.com/2026/07/river-city-jrs-15-red-completes-clean-sweep-at-aau-nationals/">[program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'] 15 Red</a>. The list of standouts goes far beyond the championship podium, so we're not done with the AAU spotlights yet.   Wave 4 was a particularly compelling phase of the Orlando journey. This group was stacked with 15s and 16s divisions, giving us a valuable glimpse into the future stars of the Cornhusker State. Summer momentum is on the rise.    Daniels has written new entries on her scouting report since we watched her compete on the Prep Dig Circuit. We've seen her thrive at multiple positions throughout her prep career, and her stock grew further during Yutan's Cinderella run to the state tournament semifinals. When Daniels suits up for Nebraska Elite 16 Prime, she morphs into one of the team's go-to terminators. Her quick arm set the pace during 16 Prime's Gold bracket climb, and Daniels is poised for a big junior breakthrough on the prep side.     We've discussed the two 15s titles for River City Jrs, but the Class of 2029 is not the only group achieving milestones in the gym. Dorenkamp packed plenty of frontcourt firepower as River City Jrs 16 Red battled to the final round of 16 Spirit competition. She boasts a strong, explosive approach that allows her to take advantage of her ever-expanding wingspan. Her development with Elkhorn, whether as a right-side or a middle, will be fascinating to follow.     Postseason success has become a colossal storyline for Nebraska Juniors' leading squads in multiple age groups. While 17 Black ascended to a runner-up finish in Indianapolis, 16 Black was carving its own path to the AAU quarterfinals. Mohr helped chart the course through her smooth, steady hands out of the back row. The Syracuse prep athlete maintained 16 Black's precise style in any system and offered the right-back defense to keep the team alive. Small-town athletes made big gains on one of club volleyball's most prominent stages.     Wave 4 of AAUs was the best of times for Nebraska Elite. Each of the club's four entries made the Gold bracket in their respective divisions, allowing us to expand our reach with some emerging stars. Drees carried the banner for Nebraska Elite 16 Altitude and showed us a lot more than we were bargaining for. Her floor defense and lethal serve stood out for last year's Norfolk Catholic crew, but Drees has also proven to be a prolific outside hitter with 16 Altitude. This six-rotation potential should find the spotlight again with one of Nebraska's top high school powerhouses.     Bring on the Class of 2029. VonSeggern kicks off the conversation for Nebraska Elite 15 Prime, which soared to the final round of Orlando's 15 Spirit division. This Gretna sophomore is the ideal middle-opposite hybrid who forms the physical core of 15 Prime's operations at the net. She is equally proficient on either side of the setter and can work with slower tempos that make full use of her high contact point. Nebraska Elite's depth is not limited to the 16s.     AAU Nationals provided one of our best looks yet at Nebraska Juniors' leading 2029s. Maaske had already been on our radar before the club campaign, joining a stacked class of Lincoln Standing Bear underclassmen on our watch list. Her defensive work has taken precedence with Nebraska Juniors 15 Black, especially while the team earned a trio of third-round wins in Orlando. Maaske can also fly high at the net, so keep an eye on how her strengths evolve in Year 2 on the Star City scene.     We were due for a visit in the Nebraska Juniors backcourt. Reitz anchored Nebraska Juniors 15 Red's ball control and was a stable leader in the serve-receive pattern. Even when she wasn't taking first contacts, this Lincoln Pius X sophomore was eager to dish the offense in out-of-system situations. That reliability can push teams through some grueling matches, and we saw plenty of those from 15 Red at AAU Nationals.
