Byers made a strong first impression and then continued to impress with her play at the Prep Dig Iowa Stock Up Showcase during July in Clive. It shouldn’t have surprised anyone considering her being developed in two of the state’s best programs, PowerPlex and Ankeny High. As we often see in those organizations, Byers is an athletic middle hitter with a lot of upside. She moves like an outside hitter but possesses the skills to dominate in the middle of the net. A notable vertical leap leads to a big swing and, along with long arms, helps turn back opposing attacks.
